Abstract The aim of this study was to unravel the relative role played by speleogenesis (i.e., the process in which a cave is formed), landscape‐scale variables, and geophysical factors in the determination of species richness in caves. Biological inventories from 21 caves located in the southeastern Iberian Peninsula along with partial least square (PLS) regression analysis were used to assess the relative importance of the different explanatory variables. Progressive mesh is a data structure that encodes a continuous spectrum of mesh approximations. Sliding window progressive meshes (SWPM) minimize data transfers between CPU and GPU by storing mesh data in static on-GPU memory buffers [For01]. The main disadvantages of the original SWPM algorithm are poor vertex cache usage efficiency, and big resulting datasets. Connectivity-based algorithm [KT04] achieves a good vertex cache coherence but it does not address the problem of high memory utilization. The myristoylated alanine-rich C-kinase substrate (MARCKS) is the major protein kinase C (PKC) substrate in many cell types including fibroblasts and brain cells. Here we describe the phosphorylation of MARCKS and the site specificity for different PKC isotypes. Conventional (c)PKC beta 1, novel (n)PKC delta and nPKC epsilon efficiently phosphorylated the MARCKS protein in vitro. The Km values were extremely low, reflecting a high affinity between kinases and substrate. The apparent affinity of nPKC delta (Km = 0.06 microM) was higher than that of nPKC epsilon and cPKC beta 1 (Km = 0.32 microM). A Bayesian stable isotope mixing model for coping with multiple isotopes, multiple trophic steps and small sample sizes

We introduce a Bayesian stable isotope mixing model for estimating the relative contributions of different dietary components to the tissues of consumers within food webs. The model is implemented with the probabilistic programming language Stan. The model incorporates isotopes of multiple elements (e.g. C, N, H) for two trophic levels, when the structure of the food web is known. In addition, the model allows inclusion of latent trophic levels (i.e. for which no empirical data are available) intermediate between sources and measured consumers. Kopumā 100 pieaugušie aizpildīja aptauju, kas aptvēra ar COVID-19 saistītus sazvērestības teorijas uzskatus, uztverto stresu un ticību valdībai , kā arī respondentu izglītības līmeni. According to the principles of taxation, taxes should contribute to the development of the personality of each individual, to the overall development of the economy. In this framework, the elaboration and development of fiscal policy decisions must take into account the financial, economic and social implications, so that, taxation should be seen as a stimulating factor. Through this article, based on a selective research, we analysed how the younger generation perceives Romanian taxation, considering the level of fiscal education and confidence in fiscal institutions.
