Experimental study of Morris-Lecar neuron : design, coupling and interpretation

We present in this manuscript an experimental electronic neuron based on complete Morris-Lecar model without simplifications, able to become an experimental unit tool to study collective association of robust coupled neurons. The circuit design is given in details according to the ionic currents of this model. The experimental results are compared with the theoretical prediction, leading to a good agreement between them, which therefore validates the circuit. We present the different areas according to the bifurcation control parameters, the membrane capacitance and the excitation current. The Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) is a widely-used observer for such nonlinear systems. Evolutionary algorithm for fiber laser in ultrashort pulse regime

This thesis deals with the generation of ultrashort pulses within a fiber laser cavity through the automatic optimization of its parameters by an evolutionary algorithm. The interest of this subject comes from the difficulty to systematically explore dynamics in a large domain of experimental parameters. We have shown that it is possible to implement an evolutionary algorithm on fiber laser cavity with appropriate precautions. We have experimentally demonstrated for the first time the mode locking of a laser cavity only using the optimization of polarization controllers through an automatic and self-learning procedure. Nous étudions une cavité en anneau non réciproque simple et reconfigurable pour générer des peignes de fréquences optiques accordables. Control of photoassociation of atomic Bose-Einstein condensates by laser field configuration

In this work we show that it is to perform an efficient adiabatic passage in a basic quadratic-nonlinear quantum two-state system describing weakly bound molecule formation in atomic Bose-Einstein condensates through photoassociation by laser fields. An efficient adiabatic transfer is also possible if the third-order nonlinearities describing the atom-atom, atom-molecule, and molecule-molecule elastic scattering are taken into account. The transfer is achieved by choosing a proper detuning derived by solving the inverse problem.We also show that one can perform a stimulated Raman exact tracking in a quadratic-nonlinear quantum three-state system.The irreversible losses from the intermediate…
Electrical control of the nonlinear properties of plasmonic nanostructures

This work brings nano-electronics and nano-photonics technologies together to create an electron- plasmon device whose linear and nonlinear optical properties are electrically controlled. Here, we present the first demonstration of nonlinear photoluminescence modulation by electrical means in an uncluttered configuration. To this purpose, plasmonic nanoantennas are interfaced with elec- trical connections inducing localized regions of electron accumulation and depletion and therefore affecting the optical response. The goal of my PhD studies was to synthesize new compounds for possible medical imaging applications. The first part of my thesis focused on the synthesis of heteroleptic ligands to achieve the chelation of two different metals aimed at addressing two types of medical imaging. We first synthesized porphyrins, which are well-known for the chelation of numerous transition metals. We focused on copper, whose copper-64 isotope is a β+ emitter usable in Positron Emission Tomography (PET). These porphyrins have been coupled with a DOTA derivative. Le but de ce document de travail est de présenter les différents concepts utilisés en programmation linéaire multiobjectif en précisant les types de décision qu'il est possible de prendre, les choix des partenaires et les methodes qu'il convient de choisir pour résoudre de tels problèmes.Par la suite le problème général est posé et différentes méthodes de résolution sont proposées. Nous insisterons principalement sur les méthodes interactives en déterminant leurs assises théoriques et en essayant de préciser les méthodes de résolution et en donnant des comparaisons entre celles-ci, pour terminer par l'introduction de la programmation dynamique.
