Quantitation of talinolol in rat plasma by LC-MS-MS.

The aim of this study was to develop and validate an assay based on liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry to quantitate talinolol in rat plasma. After a simple protein precipitation step, separation was performed by reversed-phase liquid chromatography using gradient elution with acetonitrile-water-formic acid. Electrospray ionization in the positive ion mode with multiple reaction monitoring was used to analyze talinolol employing propranolol as internal standard. The calibration curve for talinolol was linear over the concentration range 1-250 ng/mL with a correlation coefficient0.995. Self-concept and adaptation to illness in pediatric diabetic patients

Nuestro objetivo es estudiar el autoconcepto y la adaptación a la enfermedad en pacientes pediátricos diabéticos. Como instrumentos de evaluación se utilizaron el registro ad-hoc para las variables sociodemográficas y de enfermedad, el cuestionario de Autoconcepto Garley (CAG) y cuestionario de respuesta adaptativa a la enfermedad en pacientes diabéticos. La muestra constó de 23 sujetos evaluados en un único momento de medida, todos ellos niños y adolescentes entre 8 y 16 años de edad. Polynomial method to study the entanglement of pure N-qubit states

We present a mapping which associates pure N-qubit states with a polynomial. The roots of the polynomial characterize the state completely. Using the properties of the polynomial we construct a way to determine the separability and the number of unentangled qubits of pure N-qubit states.

Abstract Let N 2 be the variety of left-nilpotent algebras of index two, that is the variety of algebras satisfying the identity x ( y z ) ≡ 0 . We introduce two new varieties, denoted by V sym and V alt , contained in the variety N 2 and we prove that V sym and V alt are the only two varieties almost nilpotent of subexponential growth.

The nature of the cyclic monoenoic fatty acids formed from linoleic acid in sunflower oil heated to 275°C has been determined by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry of the picolinyl ester derivatives, before and after hydrogenation and deuteration, and following simplification by silver ion high-performance liquid chromatography. In addition, they were examined by gas chromatography-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Wortmannin is a cytotoxic compound derived from the endophytic fungi Fusarium oxysporum, Penicillium wortmannii and Penicillium funiculosum that occurs in many plants, including medicinal herbs. The rationale to develop novel anticancer drugs is the frequent development of tumor resistance to the existing antineoplasic agents. Therefore, it is mandatory to analyze resistance mechanisms of novel drug candidates such as wortmannin as well to bring effective drugs into the clinic that have the potential to bypass or overcome resistance to established drugs and to substantially increase life span of cancer patients.
