In the last years a very important amount of immigrant students unaware of Catalan, a language typical of the educational system of Catalonia, have arrived to Catalonia. To face this situation an organizational educative model, known as newcomers classrooms, was started in 2003. By means of a choice of seventy words, this work shows the lexical richness and the degree of acceptance of the guidelines –defined in the Diccionari General de Llengua Catalana by Pompeu Fabra– regulating nine bilingual Valencian/Castilian and Castilian/Valencian vocabularies published between 1972 and 1993.

Aquest article estudia la presència de diverses llengües al Parc Científic de Barcelona de la Universitat de Barcelona (PCB) centrant-se en les competències dels seus actors i en els seus usos, mitjantçant diverses tècniques: l’estudi del paisatge lingüístic, una enquesta sociolingüística i diverses entrevistes en profunditat. Els resultats mostren un entorn de treball essencialment trilingüe —català, castellà i anglès— en distribució funcional atenuada. Multitranslation within the Catalan and Valencian standards: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone as a case in point

First of all, a definition of multitranslation is given and a selective classification of the main multitranslated products in Catalan is offered. After that, multitranslation is contextualised within the sociology of translation. Then the polysystem of Catalan translation is analysed together with the linguistic, the politicoeconomical and the communicative‐cultural cosystems which influence multitranslation. Abstract-- Digital design based on hardware description languages is difficult for students, especially when the course covers from basics to advanced design systems and hardware implementation topics. This paper describes the proposal of a course where students have basic knowledge in digital design but null knowledge in hardware description languages as VHDL and FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) devices. Using Project Based Learning (PBL), this proposal allows increasing the learning curve, improving motivation and achieving some of the indications given by the European High Education Area (EHEA).

Este artículo analiza la concepción wittgensteiniana del sin sentido y, contra las interpretaciones resolutas, defiende que, bajo la influencia quizás de Mauthner y Weininger, el autor del Tractutus consideró los sin sentidos ontológicos y éticos correctos como cercanos a las proposiciones tautológicas carentes de sentido. This article analyses Wittgenstein�s conception of nonsense and, against resolute interpretations, defends that, perhaps influenced by Mauthner and Weininger, the Tractatus author conceived corrects ontological and ethical nonsenses like nearly to tautological senseless.
