Copper Complexes with Sulfonamides Derivatives of Natural Amino Acids as Chemical Nucleases

Three new coordination compounds have been prepared by reacting copper salts with sulfonamides derived from amino acids. Their molecular structures have been determined with the aid of single crystal X-ray diffraction. The copper cations are four-coordinated in all cases and the local environment is almost planar. Compound [Cu(ts-gly)(NH3)2]·H2O (1) crystallizes in monoclinic space group P21/c (no 14) with Z = 4 and with unit cell parameters a = 6.0490(12) A, b = 24.719(5) A, c = 9.159(2) A, α = γ = 90°, and β = 94.69(3)°. Effect of structural parameters on the polarizabilities of methanol clusters: a hirshfeld study

The polarizabilities of fifty methanol clusters (CH3OH)n, n = 1 to 12, were calculated at the B3LYP/6-311++G** level of theory and partitioned into molecular contributions using the Hirshfeld-I method. The resulting molecular polarizabilities were found to be determined by the polarizabilities of the two parts of the molecule, the hydrophilic hydroxyl group and the hydrophobic methyl group, each exhibiting a different dependency upon the local environment. Self-employment duration in urban and rural locations

Previous research has shown that local environment is important for self-employment. Self-employment dynamics varies between areas characterized by different labour market conditions, entrepreneurial tradition and other structural factors. Alternation between different labour market states (self-employment, paid-employment, non-employment) is also likely to increase if employment opportunities remain low in local labour market markets. This paper analyses the factors influencing the duration of self-employment spells in Finland with a large registered-based data set from the period of 1987-2002.
