Bleomycin (BLM) has demonstrated potent activity in treating malignant lymphomas but its therapeutic efficacy is hampered by induction of lung fibrosis. This side effect is related to the ability of the drug to generate reactive oxygen species in lung cells. We studied the role of NK-kappaB in Fas-resistance, employing the Fas-sensitive human T-lymphoma HuT78 cell line and its Fas-resistant variants HuT78B1 and HuT78G9.
