Analytical models for the pulse shape of a superconductor-ferromagnet tunnel junction thermoelectric microcalorimeter

AbstractThe superconductor-ferromagnet thermoelectric detector (SFTED) is a novel ultrasensitive radiation detector based on the giant thermoelectric effect in superconductor-ferromagnet tunnel junctions. We demonstrate analytical models and solutions in the time domain for a SFTED operated as a microcalorimeter (pulse excitation), in the linear small-signal limit. Based on these solutions, the signal current and temperature pulse response were studied for two different electrical circuit models, providing design conditions for stable and non-oscillatory response.Kindly check and confirm whether the corresponding author is correctly identified.The corresponding author is correct.

The aim was to investigate how we could support target users’ skill levels in a context-sensitive manner. Validation and Extension of the Usability Heuristics for Mobile Map Applications

Heuristic usability evaluation is light but efficient method for finding usability problems. In this paper, we report the process of validation and further development of the previously introduced usability heuristics for mobile map applications. The validation began by testing the heuristics by 58 evaluators who used them for usability evaluation of four different map applications. The evaluators also filled a questionnaire about the understandability of the heuristics. The amount, severity and quality of the problems found with the heuristics were reviewed and the heuristics’ understandability analyzed. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir novērtēt, kā valsts parāda līmenis ietekmē ekonomikas izaugsmi Baltijas valstīs. Darbā analizēta valsts parāda apjoma un budžeta deficīta ietekme uz ekonomikas izaugsmi un aplūkoti saistītie rādītāji, un veikta lineārās un nelineārās valsts parāda ietekmes efekta novērtēšana. A monumental schola discovered on the Boulevard Frédéric-Latouche in Augustodunum/Autun (Saône-et-Loire)

In 2011, an archaeological evaluation was carried out in the centre of the Roman city of Augustodunum (Autun) on a plot of over 1 ha. This operation afforded the opportunity to explore parts of two insulae along the main street, the so-called cardo maximus, an area that has benefited from recent advances in knowledge. The first insula hosts a high-status domus strongly resembling those of "Balbius Iassus" and the "Étui d’Or", excavated in the vicinity in the 1970s; the second, addressed in this paper, contains the remains of a vast monumental complex covering approximately 900 m2. Sleepiness at the wheel (SW) is recognized as an important factor contributing to road traffic accidents, since up to 30 percent of fatal accidents have been attributed to SW. Sleepiness-related motor vehicle accidents may occur both from falling asleep while driving and from behavior impairment attributable to sleepiness.
