Elżbieta z domu Branicka była od 1732 roku trzecią żoną Jana Tarły, wojewody lubelskiego, a od 1736 roku wojewody sandomierskiego. Korespondencja pomiędzy małżonkami wskazuje na dobre relacje, oparte o wzajemna troskę i zaufania. No to ostatnie Elżbieta w pełni zasługiwała za swoja postawę w latach 1733 - 1736 przetrwać trudne czasy wojny. W rzeczywistości stawiała czoła realnym, być może wyolbrzymionym zagrożeniom. Uwypukliło to takie cechy jej charakteru, jak zdecydowanie, zaradność, i odporność na sytuacje kryzysowe. Elżbieta z Branickich Tarłowa potrafiła dbać o siebie, męża i majątek rodzinny.

En este estudio se aborda, bajo una visión general, los textos y las imágenes presentes en algunos epitalamios e himeneos: composiciones poéticas de los siglos XVII y XVIII, realizadas en las cortes europeas con motivo de los matrimonios concertados entre sus miembros. Sus imágenes emblemáticas y simbólicas, son de gran interés para la historia del arte, pues se inspiran en las composiciones de los libros de emblemas del periodo y desarrollan temas habituales en la literatura matrimonial. Lower secondary school pupils’ written descriptions of their experiences with bullying and the tendency to seek help

The purpose of this study was to examine lower secondary school students’ (n = 223) descriptions of bullying and their experiences with the phenomenon. Students at three schools in Norway completed a survey containing open-ended questions. We employed a mixed-methods analytical approach in which responses were coded thematically and then quantified. Findings indicate that students viewed bullying in a manner consistent with prevalent definitions in the literature. However, they were often unsure whether social conflicts they had experienced would be considered bullying. L’ascesa economica del ramo della famiglia Notarbartolo che conseguirà il titolo di duchi di Villarosa si caratterizza per la rapidità e l’incisività d’azione del capostipite: Francesco Notarbartolo Alvarez d’Eván. Muovendosi con abilità nel quadro del sistema economico siciliano della seconda metà del Seicento, Francesco riuscì in breve tempo a costruire il nucleo del patrimonio fondiario della famiglia: nel volgere di un ventennio, tra gli anni ’70 e gli anni ’90 del XVII secolo, creò un patrimonio di feudi compatto e geograficamente ben definito, che si estendeva tra Castrogiovanni e Santa Caterina.
