Figura fascinante y controvertida, el filósofo italiano Armando Plebe se formó en el Turín neoilustrado de la posguerra. Empezó su actividad combatiendo la estética de Croce cuando todavía era una obligación ser crociano, y combatió, en calidad de marxista, las hipocresías de la respetabilidad intelectual cuando era arriesgado declararse marxista. En 1968, cuando la izquierda occidental abrazó la “revolución”, Plebe, intolerante a las tendencias dominantes, no dudó en tomar partido por la valiente minoría de la “reacción”. Gracias a su versatilidad extraordinaria, ha dejado huella en diferentes campos de la cultura.

The disappearance of the so-called «real socialism» has concealed the validity of the Marxist analysis of social reality. One of the sets of hypotheses that has best maintained its heuristic capacity is the Marxist theory of needs. The Marxist hypotheses have been developed in debate with other conventional conceptions. Currently, feminism and the ecological analysis of needs are renewing the views of Heller and Habermas.
Assessing the Commodity Market Price and Terms of Trade Exposures of Macroeconomy in Emerging and Developing Countries

This paper provides novel evidence on commodity market exposure, i.e., the impacts of commodity price and terms of trade fluctuations on macro performance amongst 46 emerging and developing countries (EMDCs) in Africa, Asia and the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) region. We estimate the exposure of six macroeconomic variables to the commodity prices and terms of trade. Our results indicate that in overall terms, there is a strong and statistically significant long-run relationship between the vector of analyzed world trade prices and macro variables in all EMDCs. Celem tekstu jest przybliżenie kategorii mitu w ujęciu Piera Paola Pasoliniego wykorzystanej do analizy powojennego społeczeństwa konsumpcyjnego na przykładzie dwóch figur mitycznych: Edypa i Medei. Ramą badawczą, jakiej użyje się przy spojrzeniu na omawianą tematykę będzie teoria mitu a także myśl Antonia Gramsciego oraz Waltera Benjamina, od których Pasolini uczył się patrzenia na klasowość i konsumpcjonizm. W pierwszej części artykułu wskazuje się na wyraźną analogię między teorią hegemonii Gramsciego oraz Benjaminowskim ujęciem kapitalizmu jako religii a twórczością filmową i literacką Pasoliniego. Demokracja a kapitalizm. Przyczynek do analizy z perspektywy ekonomii politycznej

Celem artykułu jest analiza stosunków między demokracją a kapitalizmem w ujęciu ekonomii politycznej. Przyjęto w nim założenie, że demokracja stanowi formę organizacji życia politycznego, zaś kapitalizm życia ekonomicznego. W pierwszej części przedstawiono krytykę liberalizmu hegemona współczesnej filozofii politycznej z punktu widzenia myśli Karola Marksa. W drugiej opisano bankructwo optymistycznych złudzeń o postępie moralnym. Artykuł kończy się wspomnieniem kategorii „godnego społeczeństwa”, stworzonej przez Johna Kennetha Galbraitha.

As advanced at the end of the previous chapter, the present one underscores the need to reassess Karl Marx’s contribution from the standpoint of pedagogy, in order for this field to come to terms with his sophisticated theory of the Erscheinungsformen or phenomenal forms. This analysis seems particularly pertinent in relation to the work of the early-Soviet scholar Lev Vygotsky, who allegedly deployed this concept in his own account of cognitive development in human beings.
