Using data from the participants of the Jyväskylä Longitudinal Study of Personality and Social Development (JYLS) at ages 42 and 50 (N = 326), this study provides empirical evidence of the relation between income and mental well-being and of the possible role of personality traits in modifying this relation. The relationships were analyzed using pooled ordinary least squares (OLS; bi- and multivariate settings) and fixed effects estimations (FE; multivariate settings). OBJECTIVE: This study investigates the association between depressive symptoms and multisite pain and health-related quality of life and work ability in currently employed health care workers with recurrent low back pain (LBP). METHODS: Multisite pain, depressive symptoms, quality of life, and work ability were assessed by validated questionnaires. A generalized linear model was used for statistical analysis. RESULTS: Notably, 28% of female health care workers with LBP had at least moderate levels of depressive symptoms. Tämän pro gradu -tutkielman tavoitteena oli tarkastella dialogisuuden toteutumista ja masentuneen asiakkaan äänen kuulluksi tulemista pariterapiassa. Lisäksi vertailimme, erosivatko terapeuttien vastaustavat niiden istuntojen välillä, jotka masentunut asiakas oli arvioinut kuulluksi tulemisen suhteen hyviksi ja huonoiksi. Tutkielma on osa Jyväskylän yliopiston psykologian laitoksen Dialogiset ja narratiiviset prosessit masennuksen pariterapiassa -projektia (DINADEP), ja aineistonamme oli projektin yhden pariskunnan terapiaprosessi, joka oli tulokseton.
