Point and region estimation may both be described as specific decision problems. In point estimation, the action space is the set of possible values of the quantity on interest; in region estimation, the action space is the set of its possible credible regions. Foundations dictate that the solution to these decision problems must depend on both the utility function and the prior distribution. En este trabajo presentamos el análisis de una propuesta didáctica basada en una actividad de modelización para trabajar conceptos y procedimientos matemáticos mediante el videojuego Bloons Tower Defense 5. Se trata de un videojuego del género de defensa de torres y es un juego de estrategia en el que el jugador debe defender un territorio utilizando torres defensivas que disparan fuego a los enemigos de forma autónoma. Space-based cropland phenology monitoring substantially assists agricultural managing practices and plays an important role in crop yield predictions. Multitemporal satellite observations allow analyzing vegetation seasonal dynamics over large areas by using vegetation indices or by deriving biophysical variables. The Nile Delta represents about half of all agricultural lands of Egypt. Digital educational materials for intervention in students with learning difficulties in mathematics

En este trabajo se revisan las principales características cognitivas y metacognitivas de los estudiantes con dificultades de aprendizaje en matemáticas, que son causa de bajo rendimiento en este área para un número muy importante de estudiantes. Junto a cada una de estas características se presenta una propuesta de material educativo en soporte digital adecuada para el entrenamiento de estos procesos, y con ello del rendimiento matemático de estos estudiantes.

A review is made on the instruments and dimensions that use the different Spanish universities to evaluate the professors from student’s ratings. Selecting repeated items, almost used in four or more universities, a new instrument has been created and validated with 334 students of the University of A Coruña. Results are analysed.

Didactics of mathematics and architecture: the golden ratio in la Lonja de Valencia

[EN] This paper has a twofold purpose. First, to structure and relate a teaching experience on the tutoring of a graduation work in Mathematics made in the University of Valencia. The main property of the didactic purpose involved in the project is that it deals with the geometric properties of a landmark building of the city of Valencia. Our aim is to analyze the process of formulation, firming up, documentation and elaboration of the work that was followed during this experience. Second, to analyze the methodology used to obtain and valuate the results that come from one of the fundamental parts of this work: the harmonic decomposition of the building named Lonja de la Seda in Valencia
