Ziņu portāli ir vieni no izplatītākajiem informācijas avotiem, kuri informē par jaunākajām aktualitātēm pasaulē. Attiecīgi, ir ļoti svarīgi apzināt valodas lietojumu un tās atspoguļojumu ziņu rakstos. Tādēļ šī pētījuma mērķis ir pētīt valodas lietojumu rakstos par jaunuzņēmumiem, precīzāk, darbības vārdus ar postpozīcijām un to semantiskās un sintaktiskās īpašības. Lai sasniegtu mērķi, pētījums balstās uz 30 ziņu rakstiem par jaunuzņēmumiem, pēta 220 darbības vārdus ar pospozīcijām un to pielietojumu. Nowadays, it has become commonly accepted that the meaning of linguistic elements is interconnected with the context of their use. Deixis is one of the classical pragmatic phenomena that illustrates that context-dependence is inherent in language as meaning of deictic expressions cannot be constructed without the identification of the speech event where these expressions occurred. Although professional agency has become an increasingly crucial issue in work organizations, investigators lack a brief instrument to measure it. This paper introduces a short measure to explore professional agency at work. Our aim was to shorten the original 17-item Professional Agency Measure, while also exploring its usability for cross-validating questionnaire datasets, and investigating the relationship between professional agency and work engagement. Guessing Meaning From Word Sounds of Unfamiliar Languages: A Cross-Cultural Sound Symbolism Study

Sound symbolism refers to a non-arbitrary relationship between the sound of a word and its meaning. With the aim to better investigate this relationship by using natural languages, in the present cross-linguistic study 215 Italian and Polish participants were asked to listen to words pronounced in 4 unknown non-indo-European languages (Finnish, Japanese, Swahili, Tamil) and to try to guess the correct meaning of each word, by choosing among 3 alternatives visualized on a computer screen. Religious Diaspora: A New Approach to Its Existence and Meaning

The present study aims to contribute to the discussion regarding the possibility of conceptualizing a religious diaspora. It proposes a new way of defining it, namely in relation to religious and not to ethno-territorial realities, but without editing the territorial dimension out. After sketching the definition on this theoretical basis, the study refers to six case studies, pointing to the way in which the definitory traits of a religious diaspora are actualized in each situation under study.
