Control flow strategy in a receiver coil for nuclear magnetic resonance for imaging

A mathematical discussion is introduced to describe the receiver coil characterizing a nuclear magnetic resonance for imaging, starting from a general shape of the conductor. A set of different inductance calculations have been introduced, varying the shape of the conductor. The inductance calculation led to a general expression of the magnetic field of a single coil characterized by a rectangular shape. A dynamic model of the receiver coil has been developed to represent the natural frequencies that characterize the operational bandwidth. Abstract Recent advances in the recovery and analysis of ancient DNA (aDNA) and application of isotopic analysis of tissue obtained from mummified human remains has been accompanied by continued advances in non-invasive imaging using X-ray computed tomography (CT) and use of minimally invasive surgical techniques employing small fibre-optic endoscopes. We used these state-of-the-art techniques to examine ancient Egyptian mummies in the Egyptian Museum and Papyrus Collection of Berlin, obtaining bone samples for aDNA, stable isotope analyses and radiocarbon dating. Abstract The first find of a Late Cretaceous shark tooth, or of any cartilaginous fish for that matter, from the Kuril Islands in the Russian Far East is recorded as Carcharias sp. (Lamniformes, Carchariidae). The specimen originates from Maastrichtian strata on the island of Shikotan that are assigned to the Malokurilsk Formation. It constitutes an extremely rare find from rocks of this age in the northwest Pacific region. External and internal dental structures have been reconstructed by the use of computed tomography. BACKGROUND AND AIMS: Interstitial telomeric repeat (ITR) sites, consisting of tandem repeats of telomeric motifs localized at intrachromosomal sites, have been reported in a few unrelated organisms including plants. However, the causes for the occurrence of ITRs outside of the chromosomal termini are not fully understood. Turtles, a speciose group consisting of more than 300 species, demonstrate karyotypes with diploid chromosome numbers ranging from 2n = 26 to 2n = 68. However, cytogenetic analyses have been conducted only to 1/3rd of the turtle species, often limited to conventional staining methods. Fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) was used to reveal the intrachromosomal organization of 11 RAPD markers localized on the genetic map of Petunia hybrida. The cloned RAPD markers were analyzed by means of Southern hybridization to determine their level of sequence repetition and their specificity in different Petunia species with 2n=14 and 18 chromosomes. The same probes were then used in FISH experiments. Most of the RAPD clones studied showed high sequence repetition and no species specificity. There is a lack of biomarkers or indices that can be used to predict the quality of fish semen samples following the freezing and thawing cycle. In the present study, a series of semen indices were tested to assess if they could accurately forecast the cryopreservation potential of Atlantic cod (Gadus morhua) semen. Fresh and frozen-thawed sperm activity variables were compared, and relationships between frozen-thawed sperm activity and fertilization success were examined. In comparison with fresh sperm, activity variables of frozen-thawed spermatozoa were reduced. In the present study, we examined lung function in healthy resting adult (born in 2003) Pacific walruses (Odobenus rosmarus divergens) by measuring respiratory flow ([Formula: see text]) using a custom-made pneumotachometer. Three female walruses (670-1025 kg) voluntarily participated in spirometry trials while spontaneously breathing on land (sitting and lying down in sternal recumbency) and floating in water. While sitting, two walruses performed active respiratory efforts, and one animal participated in lung compliance measurements.
