D-pantenola saturošu preparātu un SIA "LMP" ražotā Bepaderm G gela stabilitātes pētījumi un sastāva optimizēšana
2019
Gels sastāv no vairāku vielu komponentiem- aktīvās vielas, šķīdinātāja, biezinātājvielas, emulgatora, konservanta u.c. vielām. Šo vielu savstarpējā mijiedarbība nodrošina preparāta stabilitāti, farmakoloģisko darbību un nosaka tā uzglabāšanas laiku. Mērķis ir izvērtēt esošo dekspantenolu saturošo preparātu sastāvus un optimizēt SIA “LMP” ražotā Bepaderm G gela sastāvu. Darba gaitā tika izvērtēti dažādu ražotāju dekspantenolu saturošu gelu un krēmu sastāvi, veikti SIA “LMP” ražotā Bepaderm G gela stabilitātes pētījumi un izveidoti jauni dekspantenolu saturošu gelu paraugi. Rezultātā tika konstatēts, ka gan karbomērs, gan hipromeloze ir pietiekami labas gela biezinātājvielas, dekspantenola ko…
Jalkojen voima, iskun voima ja melonnan ajoitus nuorilla ja kokeneilla melojilla melontaergometrissa
2017
Haverinen, Mikko (2017). Jalkojen voima, iskun voima ja melonnan ajoitus nuorilla ja kokeneilla melojilla melontaergometrissa. Liikuntabiologia, Liikuntatieteellinen tiedekunta, Jyväskylän yliopisto. Biomekaniikan Pro gradu -tutkielma, 63 s. Melonta on monipuolinen laji, jossa urheilijalta vaaditaan kestävyysominaisuuksia, hyvää voimantuottoa ja teknisiä ominaisuuksia. Melonnassa eteenpäinvievä voima tuotetaan melan iskun avulla, ja iskun voima on tärkeä tekijä onnistuneessa melontasuorituksessa sen vaikuttaessa kajakin kiihtyvyyteen ja täten menestykseen kilpailuissa. Melontasuorituksessa voimantuotto aloitetaan jalkatyöllä, ja voima välitetään keskivartalon avulla ylävartalolle iskun suor…
Cue weighting and task processing in melodic classification
2015
Many studies have considered the role of diverse musical parameters in the perception and cognition of specific musical contexts, yet few attempts have been made to integrate these findings into a general cognitive overview of everyday music listening. This study shifted the focus of research, by considering the importance, the relative weight, of particular parameters of music to individual music listeners, and groups composed of those listeners who had differing levels of formal musical experience. Manipulations in various musical and auditory parameters – melodic contour, metrical accent, instrument timbre, distortion and loudness – in two short melodic phrases, were presented to two gro…

Measuring Aksak Rhythm and Synchronization in Transylvanian Village Music by Using Motion Capture
2015

Techniques based on motion capture can be useful in analyzing a wide range of musical styles and practices: in this case, Transylvanian village music. We focused on a repertoire known as “Gypsy songs of sorrow”, played by professional Gypsy musicians during parties and celebrations of their own community. Two parameters were the object of study: rhythmic duration, and synchronization between musicians (a violinist and a viola player). Results show that rhythm is a local variant of aksak and is based on two duration units (S=short, L=long) which respect the formula 2:3 < S:L &am…
Melošanas biežums partnerim un apmierinātība ar attiecībām
2018
Data from: Cleaner fish escape salmon farms and hybridize with local wrasse populations
2018
The genetic impact of farmed fish escaping aquaculture is a highly debated issue. However, non-target species, such as cleaner fish used to remove sea lice from farmed fish, are rarely considered. Here we report that wild corkwing wrasse (Symphodus melops), which are transported long distances to be used as cleaner fish in salmon farms, escape and hybridize with local populations. Recently, increasing numbers of corkwing wrasse have been reported in Flatanger in Norway, north of its described distribution range, an area heavily relying on import of cleaner fish from Skagerrak. Using genetic markers identified with 2bRAD sequencing, we show that, although the Flatanger population largely is …
Data from: Habitat discontinuities separate genetically divergent populations of a rocky shore marine fish
2017
Habitat fragmentation has been suggested to be responsible for major genetic differentiations in a range of marine organisms. In this study, we combined genetic data and environmental information to unravel the relative role of geography and habitat heterogeneity on patterns of genetic population structure of corkwing wrasse (Symphodus melops), a rocky shore species at the northern limit of its distribution range in Scandinavia. Our results revealed a major genetic break separating populations inhabiting the western and southern coasts of Norway. This genetic break coincides with the longest stretch of sand in the whole study area, suggesting habitat fragmentation as a major driver of genet…
A case report of desmoplastic ameloblastoma
2010
Ameloblastomas are the most common benign neoplasm of odontogenic nature. Desmoplastic ameloblastoma (DA) was included in the World Health Organization Classification of Head and Neck Tumors (WHO-2005) as a variant of ameloblastoma with specific clinical, image, and histological features. This case report focuses on a DA which occurred in the mandible of a 25 year-old man. The main signals and symptoms included painless swelling with buccal expansion and tooth displacement. Panoramic and periapical radiographs and cone-bean computed to- mography demonstrated an image mimicking a benign fibro-osseous lesion. The lower border of the mandible was not involved, but tooth displacement could be o…
Prevalence of biopsied oral lesions in a Department of Oral Surgery (2007 - 2009)
2011
Objectives: To determine the prevalence of the hard and soft tissue lesions biopsied in the Department of Oral Surgery of the Barcelona University Dental Clinic (Barcelona, Spain). Study design: A retrospective descriptive study was made of the biopsies performed between January 2007 and April 2009 in our Department of Oral Surgery. The following variables were recorded: age, the sex, location of the lesion, the biopsy technique, the reason for consultation, and the histological result obtained. Results: A total of 460 lesions amenable to histological analysis and corresponding to 450 patients were analyzed. The most frequently biopsied lesions were maxillary cysts, including particularly r…
