Early language contact research often focused on the so-called explicit language mix-ing, where the elements of one language were clearly present in the second language. The progressive ratification of several international treaties on minority rights had already begun in 1991, immediately after the fall of the Derg regime. El primer modelo está basado en la libertad negativa y se corresponde con la visión del mercado de las ideas que ha elaborado la jurisprudencia de la Corte Suprema norteamericana. En este artículo abordamos el análisis de la evolución reciente del gallego en el ámbito familiar. En concreto, nos interesan los procesos de producción, reproducción y no reproducción de la lengua y sus consecuencias en la actual situación de substitución lingüística. En el periodo que va desde 1992 a 2008, la distribución de la lengua inicial se ha visto sensiblemente modificada, sobre todo por la penetración del español en la mayor parte de las familias. Zusammenfassung Der folgende Beitrag beschäftigt sich mit Sprechern des Hunsrückischen in Brasilien und deren Gebrauch des Schriftdeutschen im 20. Jahrhundert. Basis der Analyse ist ein Korpus von Privatbriefen, die während der ersten Diktatur geschrieben wurden. Der Fokus der Analyse ist die Frage nach einer uniformen Schriftnorm für diese Sprechergruppe, deren Muttersprache fast ausschließlich mündlich verwendet wurde. Es wird argumentiert, dass der Estado Novo nicht die einzige Ursache für den Dachsprachenwechsel vom Deutschen zum Portugiesischen war, jedoch entscheidend dazu beigetragen hat, dass die Etablierung einer brasilianischen Schriftnorm des Deutschen endgültig verhindert wurde.…
