The Co-cathedral of San Nicolás de Alicante still preserves an important treasure of pieces of silverware, ranging from the 17th to the 20th centuries, although the greatest development was known during the 18th century, with sumptuous commissions to the most prominent silversmiths both locally as at regional and national level. In this way, it can be said that the Alicante trousseau is a good example of a temple that, once built, focuses its efforts on the collection of silverware objects that enhance the cult and its ceremonies.

Bandwidth and consequently optimum overall efficiency of network system relies greatly on mechanism of packet management in IP routers. Our research objective is to implement rough set theory to minimizing number of the network system attributes responsible for decision making in selection of those packets, which improve its transmission. Such an approach is called priority queuing system model, as we assign priority to the packets selected, following rough set theory. Testing of wireless sensor performance in Vessel-to-Vessel Motion Compensation

Relative Vessel-to-Vessel Motion Compensation (VVMC) between two floating vessels can be considered an extension of existing Active Heave Compensation (AHC), which is current state-of-the-art in the offshore industry. In this paper, the experimental results from a small-scale experimental setup of a VVMC scenario are presented. The work focuses on the kinematics related to VVMC, sensor accuracy of Motion Reference Units (MRUs), and the communication delay related to wireless transmission of MRU data between two floating vessels. The accuracies of the MRU sensors are good and verified to be less than 5% of the heave amplitude. The wireless communication link had a typical time-delay of 8ms. …

ABSTRACT Oxygen-stratified lakes are typical for the boreal zone and also a major source of greenhouse gas emissions in the region. Due to shallow light penetration, restricting the growth of phototrophic organisms, and large allochthonous organic carbon inputs from the catchment area, the lake metabolism is expected to be dominated by heterotrophic organisms. In this study, we test this assumption and show that the potential for autotrophic carbon fixation and internal carbon cycling is high throughout the water column. We have applied molecular evolution methods to study the HIV-1 epidemics in the Comunidad Valenciana (CV, Spain) from a public health surveillance perspective. For this, we analysed 1804 HIV-1 sequences comprising protease and reverse transcriptase (PR/RT) coding regions, sampled between 2004 and 2014. A coprological study was performed to assess human fascioliasis in 7200 subjects inhabiting rural communities of localities close to the capital city of Lahore in the northeastern part of the very highly populated Punjab province, Pakistan, a country where human infection had never been reported before 2005. The analysis of 1200 subjects including 50 subjects/month throughout a two-year study in each of six localities surveyed provided an overall prevalence of 1.18%, with a range between 0.67% and 1.75% according to localities.
