Graphic modalities (emoticons, emoji, GIF…) are often presented as one of the distinctive features of computer-mediated interaction. In what may be the first reference book on computer-mediated communication (also known as CMC), American linguist Susan C. Herring goes as far as calling them a “unique feature” of digital interaction (Herring 1996, 3). Since then, many linguists have tempered this view and shown that graphic modalities are by no means specific to CMC. However, they remain one of its salient features. This thesis is based upon the study of 160 000 animal bones issued from 23 late iron-age sites excavated in the Auvergne region of central France. The assemblages represent different types of archaeological contexts (farms, aristocratic settlements, agglomerations, oppida, religious/ritual zones and funeral areas) which enable us to study their role in the domestic, craft and sacrificial spheres. Apprentissage de modalités auxiliaires pour la localisation basée vision

In this paper we present a new training with side modality framework to enhance image-based localization. In order to learn side modality information, we train a fully convo-lutional decoder network that transfers meaningful information from one modality to another. We validate our approach on a challenging urban dataset. Experiments show that our system is able to enhance a purely image-based system by properly learning appearance of a side modality. Compared to state-of-the-art methods, the proposed network is lighter and faster to train, while producing comparable results.
Analysis and evaluation of the inclusive model in infant and primary centre support systems

En esta investigación se analiza el funcionamiento y la organización de los sistemas de apoyo utilizados en centros de Educación Infantil y Primaria de la Comunidad Valenciana. Planteamos hasta qué punto los sistemas de apoyo en estos centros contribuyen a mejorar la organización de un sistema inclusivo que resulte accesible para todos. En el estudio de casos han participado 24 profesionales pertenecientes a cuatro centros que tienen diferentes modalidades de escolarización. Para la recogida de información, se han manejado instrumentos cualitativos como son la entrevista, la observación y el análisis documental.
