2020
[EN] In recent years, the use of three-dimensional (3D) models in cultural and archaeological heritage for documentation and dissemination purposes has increased. New geomatics technologies have significantly reduced the time spent on fieldwork surveys and data processing. The archaeological remains can be documented and reconstructed in a digital 3D environment thanks to the new 3D survey technologies. Furthermore, the products generated by modern surveying technologies can be reconstructed in a virtual environment on effective archaeological bases and hypotheses coming from a detailed 3D data analysis. However, the choice of technologies that should be used to get the best results for dif…
1992
EN EL MUSEO DE BELLAS ARTES DE VALENCIA SE CONSERVA UN MOSAICO (57 X 59 CM.) EN EL QUE SE REPRESENTA LA LUCHA ENTRE UN CENTAURO Y UN TIGRE. PROCEDE DEL LEGADO QUE DON FRANCISCO MARTINEZ BLANCH HIZO A LA REAL ACADEMIA DE SAN CARLOS DE VALENCIA EN 1835. SE TRATA DE UNA IMITACION RENACENTISTA DE UN PAVIMENTO MOSAICO DE LA VILLA DE ADRIANO EN TIVOLI, ACTUALMENTE EN EL STAATLICHE MUSEUM DE BERLIN, SI BIEN LA VERSION DE VALENCIA ELIMINA TRES DE LAS FIGURAS DEL ORIGINAL. LA MITOLOGIA GRECORROMANA PRESENTA AL CENTAURO COMO UN SER PRIMITIVO Y SALVAJE; EL SIMBOLISMO CRISTIANO LO VINCULO A LAS PASIONES DESENFRENADAS, LA VENGANZA, LA FUERZA BRUTA Y EL ADULTERIO, SIENDO LOS BESTIARIOS MEDIEVALES LOS QUE…
Le Domus di Piazza della Vittoria a Palermo
2012
Urban archaelogy is an important source of information in order to learn about the history and the culture of a town. The city of Palermo is a great example of a highly stratified area which is characterized by a complex urban and architectonic palimpsest. Promoting the knowledge, the conservation and the enhancement of its historical and archaeological urban sites is, therefore, central to rebuild the diachronic and diatopic dimension of the past, through the use of cognitive means and technical competences. This is the author's aim of the study.

Abstract Ficus carica L. is considered one of the oldest fruit trees in the Mediterranean basin and is widely grown and harvested for the consumption of its fruits dry and fresh. This species is affected by different virus diseases, especially by Fig mosaic disease (FMD), for which Fig leaf mottle-associated virus 1 (FLMaV-1), Fig leaf mottle-associated virus 2 (FLMaV-2), Fig mild mottling-associated virus (FMMaV), Fig mosaic virus (FMV), Fig latent virus 1 (FLV-1), Fig badnavirus 1 (FBV-1) and Fig fleck-associated virus (FFkaV) are associated. FMD is the most widespread disorder of this species, which represents a threat and a constraint for healthy fig production and germplasm exchange. T…

2016
The Marquise Forcella palace in Palermo shows a curious mixture of neoclassical and neo-medieval styles. It was built in the years immediately after the revolution of 1820. Particularly close to the Borbonic Court, Enrico Forcella was the administrator of the restoration of the Royal Palace in Palermo. As he had at his disposal the same specialized workers of the Royal Palace, he decided to copy some of the artworks from King Roger’s room and the Cappella Palatina. He also added some details derived from other Norman buildings in Palermo. These included the Zisa Castle, but he also sourced the Islamic Palaces of Andalusia, in particular the Alhambra in Granada and the Alcazar in Seville. A …
La città e il suo porto
2017
