We investigated direct and indirect cross-sectional associations of physical activity, fundamental motor skills, executive functions, and early numeracy in preschoolers. The participants were 214 preschoolers aged three to five years. Time spent in moderate and vigorous physical activity was measured by hip-worn accelerometers and fundamental motor skills using the tasks assessing locomotor, object control, and stability skills. The purpose of this study was to i) examine reliability and construct validity of the pictorial scale of Perceived Movement Skill Competence (PMSC) aligned to the third version of the Test of Gross Motor Development (TGMD-3) in a sample of Spanish children; and to ii) analyse the validity of the PMSC and children’s perceived motor competence (MC) according to gender. AbstractUnderstanding how the structural connectivity of a network constrains the dynamics it is able to support is a very active and open area of research. We simulated the plausible dynamics resulting from the known C. elegans connectome using a recent model and theoretical analysis that computes the dynamics of neurobiological networks by focusing on how local interactions among connected neurons give rise to the global dynamics in an emergent way, independent of the biophysical or molecular details of the cells themselves. Rotor bar breakage data obtained from fatigue test

The data hereby provided was acquired during a fatigue test developed at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Universitat Politècnica de València (Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, Spain) in 2011 by PhD student Vicente Climente-Alarcon under supervision of Prof. Martin Riera-Guasp. The fatigue test involved subjecting a 1.5 kW, 1 pole pair induction motor to severe cycling until a bar breakage naturally developed.
