Although reverse transcriptase quantitative PCR remains the gold standard to perform viral detection, reverse transcriptase loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP) is already used to perform diagnosis of various infections. This work reports the results of a multicentric study performed in Sicily to evaluate the diagnostic power of an RT-LAMP kit for the diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 infection on a total of 551 samples collected in January and February 2021, revealing sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive and negative predictive values ≥95%. Following the availability of the results ofvalidation studies, the sentinel lymph node biopsy(SLNB) has replaced routine axillary dissection(AD) as the new standard of care in early unifocal breast cancers.Multifocal (MF) and multicentric (MC) tumours have been considered as a contraindication for this technique due to the possible incidence of a higher false-negative rate. Le neoplasie con incidenza annuale inferiore a 2 casi per milione di bambini sono considerate rare. Allo scopo di valutare l'esperienza dei pricipali Centri pediatrici e chirurgici-pediatrici su tumori maligni rari attualmente non registrati in protocolli nazionali, è stato condotto uno studio retrospettivo cooperativo. Sono stati registrati 164 pazienti osservati in 34 Centri Italiani dal 1982 al 1993.
