Sarkaviitat laulavat jo viimeistä virttään : etnologinen tutkimus pukeutumisen diskursseista suomalaisissa sanomalehdissä 1875-1885
2014
Tutkin pro gradu -tutkielmassani, millaista todellisuutta muotia ja kansan- ja kansallispukuja käsittelevät tekstit tuottavat ja miksi jotkut diskurssit saavat hegemonisen aseman. Tutkimusaineistoni koostuu 38 kirjoituksesta, jotka on julkaistu suomalaisissa sanomalehdissä 1875–1885. Pukeutumisen diskursseja on aikaisemmin tutkittu vastaavista lähteistä melko vähän, joten tutkimukseni tuo syventävää tietoa aikalaisten käsityksistä muuttuvia pukujaan kohtaan ja paljastaa mahdollisia syitä kirjoitusten olemassaololle. Tutkimuksen teoreettinen tausta kytkeytyy aatteellisiin, sivistyksellisiin ja pukeutumiseen liittyviin käsitteisiin. Aineiston metodologisessa lähestymisessä on sovellettu kriit…
