Promocijas darbā pētīts individuālos vēstījumos izmantotu Svētā Grāla mīta elementu potenciāls ietekmēt metavēstījumu. Kritiski izvērtēti vēstījuma un metavēstījuma jēdzieni, aplūkotas mīta funkcijas un mīta elementiem piemītošs resakralizācijas potenciāls, sniegts vēsturiskais Svētā Grāla mīta un Romas Katoļu baznīcas vēstījumu attiecību fons. Iezīmētas kriptovēstures romāna kā žanru hibrīda konvencijas. Spēles naratīva analīze: “Half Life” franšīze

Pētījuma galvenais mērķis ir atklāt, kā stāstījumu tehnikas pielietotas video spēļu franšīzē Half-Life. Pētījumam izvēlētas četras franšīzes Half-Life un Half-Life 2 spēles. Teorētiskajā daļā tika apskatīts, kā stāstījumu jēdzieni ir pielāgojami video spēļu pētījumam. Izvēlēto video spēļu analīze parādīja, ka stāstījumu izteiksmes līdzekļi un struktūras var tikt pielietotas arī izvēlētajām video spēlēm, dažām no tām stingri neievērojot avotu teorētiskos ierobežojumus. Pētījuma rezultāti nodrošina plašāku video spēļu stāstījumu izpētes iespējas.

The setting of “The Transition of Juan Romero” – the short story by Howard Phillips Lovecraft, who was the originator of modern American horror fiction – is “the gold mine in the Cactus Range”. Drawing on the theories of Carl Gustav Jung, the author of the present interpretation amplifies the cultural dimensions of Lovecraft’s text, giving prominence to its origin from the ancient myths of the Aztecs, and using the so-called psychological alchemy to show the archetypal symbolism and structure of the story. ResumenSiguiendo los fundamentos de la crítica como sabotaje, este ensayo analiza la novela de Élmer Mendoza, Cóbraselo caro, como un efecto performativo de la lectura de la novela de Juan Rulfo, Pedro Páramo. A través del estudio de las relaciones lingüísticas, temáticas y situacionales entre esas dos novelas, muestra que Cóbraselo caro, aun siendo un efecto performativo de Pedro Páramo, supone el auto-sabotaje de Élmer Mendoza en relación a buena parte de su narrativa. In Romanticism, the employment of abstract concepts within an epic ‘miracle machine’ was arranged by means of personification. This was the case until Antoni Malczewski, a Polish Romantic poet, introduced free indirect speech which facilitated linking anthropomorphised abstractions with their ‘genetic subjects,’ i.e. experiencing characters. In his version of the myth of Antigone (1944), Jean Anouilh sets the story in the contemporary context, opposing a revolted woman and a responsible, conscious ruler who tries to save his niece from death, no matter what it takes. Their confrontation shows that their motivations are unconciliable. Creon’s reasons are those of a wise and tired man who is afraid of being lonely while getting old and who considers power as a heavy duty. The Multidimensional Prayer Inventory (MPI) has received much attention from researchers since it allows for the capture of the most universal forms of prayer, characteristic of the Judeo-Christian tradition: Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication, and Reception.
