Bourgeois Women and the Question of Divorce in Finland in the Late 19th and Early 20th Centuries

This article explores perceptions and actions of Finnish upper-middle-class women with regard to divorce in the late 19th century and early 20th century. Divorce was discussed in the periodicals of bourgeois women’s associations and later in Finnish Parliament, in which several leading figures of the bourgeois women’s associations were elected as members from 1907 onwards. Compared to other issues related to marriage and its legislation, divorce was not an especially important question for bourgeois women, but a tool to promote other issues. Harvinaisten maametallien talteenotto NdFeB -magneeteista

Tutkielman kirjallisessa osassa käsitellään yleisesti harvinaisia maametalleja, niiden ominaisuuksia, valmistusta, käyttökohteita ja kierrätystä lopputuotteista. Harvinaisten maametallien käyttökohteista keskitytään neodyymi-rauta-boori -magneetteihin (NdFeB -magneetit) ja niiden kierrätykseen. Tutkielmassa käydään läpi erilaiset harvinaisten maametallien hydrometallurgiset ja pyrometallurgiset talteenottomenetelmät. Tutkimusprojektissa pyrittiin kehittämään NdFeB -magneettien kierrätysmenetelmä, jolla magneettien harvinaiset maametallit saataisiin erotettua muista magneettien sisältämistä alkuaineista, kuten raudasta, boorista, koboltista ja nikkelistä. Tämän tutkielman aiheena oli tarkastella naishahmojen representaatioita sarjakuvajätti Marvelin televisiosarjassa Jessica Jones. Tarkoituksena oli tutkia, kuinka naishahmot esitetään dialogin, ulkonäön ja käyttäytymisen keinoin, sekä hahmojen fyysisten ja juonellisten kontekstien kautta. Tarkastelun kohteena olivat sarjan neljä keskeisintä naishahmoa, ja aineistona käytettiin sarjan ensimmäistä kautta, johon kuului yhteensä 13 jaksoa. The first lanthanide complex of a 1,2,4-benzotriazinyl radical (1), Dy(1)(tbacac)3 (2, tbacac = 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-3,5-heptane-dionato), was synthesised and found to have an antiferromagnetically ordered ground state with a metamagnetic phase diagram and a critical field of 0.91 T at 1.85 K. The application of a small dc field revealed the single-molecule magnet behaviour of 2, illustrating the coexistence of long-range antiferromagnetic order and slow relaxation of the magnetization. peerReviewed

A Dysprosium Metallocene Single-Molecule Magnet Functioning at the Axial Limit

Abstraction of a chloride ligand from the dysprosium metallocene [(Cpttt)2DyCl] (1Dy Cpttt=1,2,4‐tri(tert‐butyl)cyclopentadienide) by the triethylsilylium cation produces the first base‐free rare‐earth metallocenium cation [(Cpttt)2Dy]+ (2Dy) as a salt of the non‐coordinating [B(C6F5)4]− anion. Magnetic measurements reveal that [2Dy][B(C6F5)4] is an SMM with a record anisotropy barrier up to 1277 cm−1 (1837 K) in zero field and a record magnetic blocking temperature of 60 K, including hysteresis with coercivity. Thermal expansion and magnetic properties of benzoquinone-bridged dinuclear rare-earth complexes.

The synthesis and structural characterization of two benzoquinone-bridged dinuclear rare-earth complexes [BQ(MCl2·THF3)2] (BQ = 2,5-bisoxide-1,4-benzoquinone; M = Y (1), Dy (2)) are described. Of these reported metal complexes, the dysprosium analogue 2 is the first discrete bridged dinuclear lanthanide complex in which both metal centres reside in pentagonal bipyramidal environments. Interestingly, both complexes undergo significant thermal expansion upon heating from 120 K to 293 K as illustrated by single-crystal X-ray and powder diffraction experiments.
