Validation of chasmophytic syntaxa of colline and montane zones in Tajikistan (Middle Asia)

AbstractEight syntaxa are validated with the previous names regarded as invalidly published according to the International Code of Phytosociological Nomenclature. The validation concerns syntaxa of rock plant communities of the Campanuletalia incanescentis order reported from the Pamir Alai mountains in Tajikistan. The majority of validated syntaxa represents association level, one is an alliance. All validations are conducted due to the invalidity of tables with typus releves according to art. 1 of the Code: they were not distributed as printed matter. We validate eleven syntaxa (eight associations and three alliances) of tall-forb vegetation that were published earlier as nomina provisoria according to the International Code of Phytosociological Nomenclature. The validation concerns syntaxa of tall-forb vegetation of the class Prangetea ulopterae Klein 1987 reported from Pamir-Alai and western Tian Shan Mountains (Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan). Taxonomic reference: Cherepanov (1995). Abbreviations: ICPN = International Code of Phytosociological Nomenclature.

Active lighting applied to three-dimensional reconstruction of specular metallic surfaces by polarization imaging

International audience; In the field of industrial vision, the three-dimensional inspection of highly reflective metallic objects is still a delicate task. We deal with a new automated three-dimensional inspection system based on polarization analysis. We first present an extension of the shape-from-polarization method for dielectric surfaces to metallic surfaces. Then, we describe what we believe to be a new way of solving the ambiguity concerning the normal orientation with an active lighting system. The author of the article presents a phenomenon of terrorism in the Balkans throughout the 19th, 20th an 21st centuries. She highlights a thesis that specific phenomenon of terrorism in the region requires additional studies, mostly of heuristic nature. Among the types of Balkan terrorism there is terrorism connected to national and liberation movements and political terrorism. Furthermore, terrorist actions in Romania and Bulgaria, terrorism of the Ustashe and terrorism of the anti-Yugoslav emigration and other its forms have been indicated.
