This article deals with Rupert Goold's film version of Macbeth (2010). Based on a stage production, this film is set in an unspecified Soviet country. I will analyze Goold's creation of a stage-to-screen hybrid recording framed as a surveillance film. Relying on Michel Foucault's and Gilles Deleuze's works as well as various contributions made by Cultural Materialist and New Historicist critics, I intend to explore the power relations in this surveillance film. I will also examine how the surveillance film conventions deployed by Goold turn the narrative into a meta-filmic event. In this article we revise the history and main existing bibliography on the theatricalaudiovisual hybrid relations concerning the Royal Shakespeare Company's productions. To continue, we summarize the main methodological trends followed for the study of hybridity in the RSC's audiovisual productions. En este artículo revisamos la historia y la principal bibliografía existente con respecto a las relaciones de hibridación teatral-audiovisual de las producciones de la Royal Shakespeare Company. A continuación, resumimos las líneas metodológicas principales que se han seguido para el estudio de la hibridación en producciones audiovisuales de RSC.

Rupert Goold's stage production of Macbeth opened at the Minerva Theatre in Chichester, went to the Gielgud Theatre (London) and toured to the Harvey Theater in New York (2007-2008) before, in 2010, BBC, PBS and Illuminations Media turned it into a TV film.1 Set in a twentieth-century regime displaying the iconography of Stalin's dictatorship, Anthony Ward's decor was "confined within a windowless basement kitchen, perhaps a few tiers above hell" (Nicholas De Jongh). Unsurprisingly, several reviewers compare these aspects of the scenography with a living hell. However, the recording turned those hellish textures into a dominant motif.

Una paradoja caracteriza a nuestros relatos: por una parte, la filosofía que levantó la veda postmoderna concluye que nuestra sociedad occidental carece de relatos legitimadores, que la debilidad de éstos es incomparable con cualquier otro momento de la historia; sin embargo, la producción mediática de relatos es a su vez incomparablemente más vigorosa que nunca. Este texto introductorio a un volumen monográfico de la revista Archivos de la Filmoteca se interroga por las formas de esta paradoja. En otras palabras, plantea la cuestión del estatuto antropológico del relato a fines del s. XX.

Como se sabe, la religión ha sido uno de los temas recurrentes de la obra de Buñuel desde La edad de oro. Más que un tema, configura unas escenas fuertemente ritualizadas, en las que la liturgia cristiana se manifiesta de manera muy sutil en la medida en que su sentido se entreteje con el del erotismo y de la perversión. Así es como se pueden analizar muchas secuencias de la producción mexicana de Buñuel : como escenas en un triple sentido de escenas cinematográficas, escenas fantasmáticas y escenas litúrgicas. Aquí, se tratará de estudiar las ocurrencias de dichas perversiones en tres películas : Ensayo de un crimen, Él y Viridiana.

This article deals with two perplexing questions that arise from the viewing of The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (John Ford, 1962): the use of flashback and the presence of nostalgia, an emotion foreign to epic poetry. 7he first points to the existence of a mythical past estranged from the present,from which civilization arises and which is symbolized by the train which makes its appearance at the beginning and the end of the film. Saccharomyces cerevisiae signature genes for predicting nitrogen deficiency during alcoholic fermentation

Genome-wide analysis of the wine yeast strain Saccharomyces cerevisiae PYCC4072 identified 36 genes highly expressed under conditions of low or absent nitrogen in comparison with a nitrogen-replete condition. Reverse transcription-PCR analysis for four of these transcripts with this strain and its validation with another wine yeast strain underlines the usefulness of these signature genes for predicting nitrogen deficiency and therefore the diagnosis of wine stuck/sluggish fermentations.
