As a concept, expectations appear frequently in the public relations literature, yet definitions are scarce or narrow. Coping strategies are used to adapt to the changes that occur during aging. This study investigated 275 older adults who attended a senior citizen’s centre. They provided sociodemographic data and answered the Stress Coping Questionnaire (SCQ) in a semistructured interview. The aim was to analyse the use of coping strategies based in several sociodemographic variables, using correlations, t tests, and ANOVAs. The results showed a positive and significant association between age and religion, and differences were found in gender, marital status, educational attainment, and income level. Objetivo Determinar la relación entre la calidad del sueño y el equilibrio postural en las personas mayores que viven en la comunidad. Métodos Se aplicó un estudio analítico y transversal. Se reclutaron 53 sujetos que cumplían los criterios de selección. Se aplicó el índice de calidad del sueño de Pittsburgh (PSQI) y se realizó una prueba de equilibrio estático a través de una posturografía computarizada para evaluar el equilibrio postural. Abstract Background The primary health care services are becoming increasingly complex, which presents challenges for the municipal nursing services. In Norway, municipal in-patient acute care (MipAC) has been introduced in all municipalities, and the competence at the services has been questioned.
