Decision-cache based XACML authorisation and anonymisation for XML documents
2012
Author's version of an article in the journal: Computer Standards and Interfaces. Also available from the publisher at: http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.csi.2011.10.007 This paper describes a decision cache for the eXtensible Access Control Markup Language (XACML) that supports fine-grained authorisation and anonymisation of XML based messages and documents down to XML attribute and element level. The decision cache is implemented as an XACML obligation service, where a specification of the XML elements to be authorised and anonymised is sent to the Policy Enforcement Point (PEP) during initial authorisation. Further authorisation of individual XML elements according to the authorisation specifi…
Polska eponimia biblijna: Sodoma. Od urbonizmu starożytnego miasta do sodomawirusa
2020
Sodom (in Polish: Sodoma) does not exist. Although this Palestinian town has been known since prehistoric times and it is mentioned in the Bible, there is no archaeological proof which would confirm its location. In 2011, the name Sodoma was removed from the official list which includes Polish equivalents of geographical names of the world. However, the onym is still used in the Polish language. This name and its derivatives appear mainly in numerous eponyms. We can find here semantic derivatives (eg. sodoma), structural-semantic ones (eg. sodomia, sodomita, sodomizować), phraseological ones (eg. sodoma i gomora, grzech sodomski, jabłko sodomskie, jeden (jedyny) sprawiedliwy w Sodomie i Gom…
Yksityisyys ja yksityisyyden suojaaminen big datan aikakaudella : teknologinen näkökulma
2015
Elämme tiedon aikakautta – teknologian kehityksen myötä sekä digitaalisesta että analogisesta maailmasta kertyvien tietojen määrä on kasvanut eksponentiaalisesti viime vuosien aikana. Big data mahdollistaa monia koko yhteiskuntaa hyödyttäviä etuja aina kilpailukyvyn parantamisesta kehittyneempään terveydenhuoltoon. Massiivisen tietojen keräämisen ja analysoinnin on kuitenkin pelätty kaventavan yksityisyyden suojaa. Tässä kirjallisuuskatsaukseen pohjautuvassa tutkielmassa perehdyttiin yksityisyyttä, big dataa, massadataanalytiikkaa sekä yksityisyyden suojaamiseen käytettäviä teknisiä menetelmiä käsittelevään kirjallisuuteen. Tutkielman tarkoituksena oli selvittää millaisia yksityisyyteen koh…
Typification of Dioscorea communis and its synonym Tamus communis var. subtriloba (Dioscoreaceae)
2016
The typification of Dioscorea communis (≡ Tamus communis, Dioscoreaceae) is discussed. The designation of the nomenclatural type is based on the consultation of Linnaeus’s original material preserved at LINN, the Clifford Herbarium at BM, the Herbarium Joachim Burser at UPS, and the literature cited in the protologue. The name is lectotypified using a herbarium sheet preserved at LINN. A lectotype is also selected for the name Tamus communis var. subtriloba, from a specimen preserved at the Gussone’s herbarium at NAP.
Typification of two Linnaean names: Centaurea aspera and Centaurea isnardii (Asteraceae)
2014
The typification of the names Centaurea aspera L. and C. isnardii L. (Asteraceae) is discussed. A lectotype for C. aspera is designated from original material conserved in UPS-BURSER (Joachim Burser Herbarium). Centaurea isnardii is typified by an illustration of Isnard (1719) confirming this name as a synonym of C. aspera subsp. aspera.
Immunological and ultrastructural characterization of spirotrichonymphid flagellates from Reticulitermes grassei and R. flavipes (syn. R. santonensis…
2006
AbstractFive species of spirotrichonymphids representing three genera have been studied by light and immunofluorescence microscopy, and by transmission electron microscopy. The genus Spirotrichonympha, represented by S. flagellata from Reticulitermes grassei, is characterized by a compound axostyle composed of several fibers or subaxostyles. The genus Spironympha, represented by S. kofoidi from Reticulitermes flavipes (syn. R. santonensis) and by the two new species S. verticis and S. lanceata, is characterized by flagellar lines restricted to the anterior area and a simple, tubular axostyle. Spironympha verticis and S. lanceata are mainly distinguished by ultrastructural details of their f…
The flagellates of the termite Hodotermopsis sjoestedti with special reference to Hoplonympha, Holomastigotes and Trichomonoides trypanoides n. comb.
2004
Abstract The termite Hodotermopsis sjoestedti harbours a symbiotic fauna of protists comprising at least 11 genera and a much larger number of species. Two oxymonad genera, Pyrsonympha and Dinenympha, are mixed with nine parabasalid genera, two trichomonads, Trichomitopsis termopsidis and Trichomonoides trypanoides n. comb., four spirotrichonymphid genera/species: Spirotrichonympha, Microjoenia, Holomastigotes lanceolata n. sp., Holomastigotes elongatum and three trichonymphid genera/species; Hoplonympha natator, Eucomonympha, Trichonympha. Hoplonympha natator has two anterior symmetrical bundles of ∼60 basal bodies/flagella separated by two parabasal plates. The cell surface is crenelated …
<strong>Pamphagidae (Orthoptera: Caelifera) of North Africa: key to genera and the annotated check-list of species</strong>
2013
At least 95 species of Pamphagidae belonging to 17 genera are known in North Africa. Taxonomic status is fairly known, with some exception, mainly due to scarcity of available specimens of some genera in museums and collections. In this paper, the author proposes a new key to genera and reports the annotated list of all the known species, based on specimens examined in different European museums. Concerning the subfamily Thrinchinae, he proposes to consider only the following species of the genus Tmethis: T. cisti, T. harterti new status, T. maroccanus and T. pulchripennis. He also considers Neotmethis bidentatus synonym of T. harterti, and the three newly described species of the genus Tua…
On the dark side of lifestyle blogging : the case of negative anonyms
2018
The social reciprocity between bloggers and their readers included in lifestyle blogs is inspired by casual exchange of information, opinions, and emotional support. Despite the obvious positive connotations, the world of lifestyle blogging also has a darker side to it. A negative anonym is recognized by bloggers as a reader who comments behind a pseudonym and distributes critical or abusive comments targeted against bloggers’ physical appearance, personality, life choices, or commercial collaborations. Bloggers are often regarded as influencers of social media. In this study, however, the perspective is reversed as I explore some of the ways bloggers are influenced by their readers. peerRe…
Trusted Computing and DRM
2015
Trusted Computing is a special branch of computer security. One branch of computer security involves protection of systems against external attacks. In that branch we include all methods that are used by system owners against external attackers, for example Firewalls, IDS, IPS etc. In all those cases the system owner installs software that uses its own means to determine if a remote user is malicious and terminates the attack. (Such means can be very simple such as detecting signatures of attacks or very complex such as machine learning and detecting anomalies in the usage pattern of the remote user). Another branch of attacks requires protection by the system owner against internal users. …
