Complexity in solving real-world multicriteria optimization problems often stems from the fact that complex, expensive, and/or time-consuming simulation tools or physical experiments are used to evaluate solutions to a problem. Äitien palvelutyytyväisyyden rakentuminen ja yhteistyökokemukset varhaiskasvatuksessa

Artikkelissa tutkitaan äitien tyytyväisyyttä noin yksivuotiaan lapsensa varhaiskasvatuspalveluun tarkastelemalla palvelutyytyväisyyden ulottuvuuksia. Lisäksi tutkitaan äitien ja varhaiskasvatuksen henkilökunnan välisen yhteistyön sekä palveluntarjoajan (yksityinen vs. kunnallinen) yhteyttä äitien palvelutyytyväisyyteen. Lopuksi tarkastellaan, eroaako yhteistyön yhteys palvelutyytyväisyyteen palveluntarjoajan mukaan. Tutkimusaineisto koostuu CHILDCARE-hankkeen kyselytutkimukseen osallistuneiden varhaiskasvatuksessa olevien yksivuotiaiden äitien vastauksista (N = 549). Kształcenie inkluzyjne, obok integracyjnego i specjalnego (segregacyjnego), jest jedną z form kształcenia uczniów ze specjalnymi potrzebami edukacyjnymi (SPE) w Polsce. Zakłada ono edukację uczniów z różnymi cechami, np. z niepełnosprawnością w szkołach ogólnodostępnych. W procesie edukacyjno-terepeutycznym tej grupy uczniów istotną rolę odgrywają ich rodzice, dlatego też nieodzowne jest współdziałanie szkoły z rodziną ucznia. Battery- and Petrol-Powered Chainsaws: An Investigation of Productivity in Conifer Thinning

In recent years, battery technology has been greatly improved and some types of battery chainsaws are currently comparable with light-type petrol machines, suggesting their possible introduction into forest operations. In this context, the aim of this study was to test and compare the performance, in a Douglas-fir thinning, of two chainsaws similar in terms of weight and power, the Stihl MS 220 CB battery-powered saw and the Stihl MS 201 CM petrol-powered saw, measuring the working times and calculating the productivities. The New Energy and Industry Technology Development Organization (NEDO) road map (Japan, 2017) has proposed that a polymer electrolyte fuel cell (PEFC) system, which operates at a temperature of 90 °C and 100 °C, be applied for stationary and mobility usage, respectively. Opaque Distribution Channels for Competing Service Providers: Posted Price vs. Name-Your-Own-Price Mechanisms

Opaque selling has been widely adopted by service providers in the travel industry to sell off leftover capacity under stochastic demand. We consider a two-stage model to study the impact of different selling mechanisms, posted price (PP) versus name-your-own-price (NYOP), of an opaque reseller on competing service providers who face forward-looking customers. We find that in this environment, providers prefer that the opaque reseller uses a posted price instead of a bidding model. This is because the ability to set retail prices is critical for extracting surplus from customers who wait to purchase from the reseller.
