Kuvataidekasvatuksen uudistaminen ja asema suomalaisessa peruskoulu-uudistuksessa kuvaamataidon opettajien näkökulmasta : haastattelututkimus

Tutkimuksen tehtävänä on selvittää, kuinka kuvataidekasvatus ja taidepedagoginen ajattelutapa muuttui peruskoulu-uudistuksen aikana (1970-‐1977). Tutkimus painottuu nimenomaan tuohon aikaan uudistuksessa mukana olleiden kuvaamataidonopettajien näkökulmiin aiheesta. Tutkimusaineisto koostuu viidestä haastattelusta, siirtymävaiheenmateriaalista, sekä aiempaan tutkimukseen peruskoulu-uudistuksesta. Haastattelut on toteutettu puolistruktuoituina teemahaastatteluina. Competence-based education is a widely implemented educational approach, but more research is needed into the relationship between transversal competences and individual disciplines. In this article, we present the results of a study focusing on how the transversal competence of multiliteracy is contextually defined in Finnish local curricula in the disciplines of mathematics and social studies. The prevailing consensus is that science teaching should be more student-centered and guide learners towards more phenomenon-based and authentic problem-solving activities. This approach is reflected in educational policies and recently reformed curricula. The Literary Construction of Journalism Education: A Review of the Course Literature in the Nordic Academic Journalism Programmes

This article investigates the course literature in the curricula of 12 major journalism schools at Northern European universities. This analysis of the course literature listed in documentation of bachelor programmes traces how journalism education institutions constitute their knowledge base on journalism. It is found that Nordic journalism students are required to read almost four books per study credit on average. Undergraduate academic journalism programmes are professionally oriented, and professional literature by non-scientific publishers occupies a major place in the course literature. University-wide, top-down curriculum reform at a Finnish university: perceptions of the academic staff

This study examines academic staff’s perceptions of a university-wide, top-down curriculum reform in terms of the management of the reform, the support provided by the university’s administration, and the utilisation of the university’s guidelines. Differences between faculties are also scrutinised. The study was conducted at a multidisciplinary public research university in Finland using the survey method. The data (n = 394) consisted of academic staff’s responses to multiple-choice and open-ended questions.
