Wołczyn to miasto leżące w województwie opolskim na Nizinie Śląskiej, w obrębie Monokliny Przedsudeckiej. Na terenie tym występuje ujęcie mineralnej solanki termalnej „Wołczyn VII A”, która kwalifikuje się do wykorzystania w profilaktyce i lecznictwie. Ze względu na brak w regionie ośrodków balneologicznych, istnieje zapotrzebowanie na rozwój tego typu form wykorzystania tworzyw balneologicznych. Zastosowanie solanek z Wołczyna w celach profilaktyczno-leczniczych, rekreacyjnych jak również jako tężnie, stwarza perspektywy nowej strategii w polityce zdrowotnej Śląska Opolskiego.

The participation of national and ethnic minorities in Polish political life after 1989 is one of the achieve-ments of democratic Poland. Tracing the history of minority participation in local and parliamentary elec-tions after 1990 makes it clear that this history is dominated by the German minority. Mother tongue is one of the most important aspects of preserving identity o f national or ethnic minority. Being in force since 2005 the Law on National and Ethnic Minorities and Regional Language minorities in Poland secures the right to preserve and maintain their language and to introduce it as an assistant language in municipalities.
