2001
This article evaluates empirically the effect o f market introduction on the level o f regional inequalities and on the polarisation o f economic activities in Poland. The search for agglomeration economies explains the spatial concentration o f services and o f added value in the regions where the biggest cities are located. A cumulative process o f agglomeration is observed. Therefore, …
Empirical tests of the multicentric urban models
1999
Since the seventies the effects of city size growth and diversification of economic activities on the multipolarisation of economic activities have questioned the theoretical and empirical appropriateness of the monocentric urban pattern to explain and describe the spatial organization of the modern metropolitan areas. New assumptions were based on multicentric and nonmonocentric urban economics models, which have become the core of new economic geography analysis during the nineties. At the same time, a lot of empirical studies have attempted to describe the urban economic patterns of North American metropolitan areas. Using this empirical literature, the aim of this paper is to propose a …
Information as an essential link between natural science and human science : main focus : the impact of information on the functioning and behaviour …
2016

Safety climate responses and the perceived risk of accidents in the construction industry
2008
The usefulness of safety climate as a diagnostic tool ought to reside in its ability to identify detailed and precise difficulties that can be considered critical to improving safety. This feature depends on the theoretical analysis of the agents and issues that should be included in safety climate statements. Safety climate can be analysed from the point of view of the agent that performs the safety response in question, by identifying four main safety agents (organization, supervisors, co-workers and worker) and five safety climate variables: the Organizational Safety Response (OSR), the Supervisors' Safety Response (SSR), the Co-Workers' Safety Response (CSR), the Worker Safety Response …

Les contextes organisationnels d'insertion des jeunes
2011
