Questo lavoro esaminera dal punto di vista paleografico gli autografi di tre figure femminili di alta nobilta dell’ultimo Quattrocento e del Cinquecento politicamente e culturalmente importanti, Isabella d’Este, Lucrezia Borgia, e Renata di Francia. Due gli obiettivi: 1) risalire all’educazione grafica delle personalita in questione e 2) individuare gli usi che fecero della scrittura autografa.

Abstract Background The public health systems of the post-Soviet states have evolved from the san-epid system, which dominated public health practice throughout the former Soviet Union. Since independence, reforms have taken different directions. This article provides a cross-country comparison of public health reform processes and contents in 10 post-Soviet states. Methods The study is descriptive and comparative, based on a literature review of the major health databases, the Health Systems in Transition (HiT) volumes and grey literature. This paper deals with the development of statistical methodology for timely detection of incident disease clusters in space and time. The increasing availability of data on both the time and the location of events enables the construction of multivariate surveillance techniques, which may enhance the ability to detect localized clusters of disease relative to the surveillance of the overall count of disease cases across the entire study region. Tematem mojego artykułu jest problem używek przedstawiony w Matce Stanisława Ignacego Witkiewicza. Nadużywanie alkoholu i narkotyków, służące złagodzeniu bólu istnienia to - w kontekście omawianego utworu - zagłuszanie metafizycznych lęków nie tylko prezentowanych w nim postaci, ale także samego autora. Na przykładzie inscenizacji Jerzego Jarockiego z Teatru Starego w Krakowie opisuję złożoność relacji postaci, które dławiąc się własnym cierpieniem, popadają w nałogi. Zarówno dramat, jak i jego teatralna konkretyzacja stanowią laboratorium udręki wzajemnego bytowania, studium destrukcyjnej siły rodzinnych związków. Tutaj wszystko może się zdarzyć i na pewno będzie na „nie".

Fascioliasis is a zoonotic parasitic disease caused by Fasciola hepatica and F. gigantica. Emergence of human fascioliasis prompted a worldwide control initiative including a pilot study in several countries. Given the necessity to characterize the fasciolid populations involved, the overall aim of the present research is, first, the phenotypic characterization of faciolid adults and eggs implicated in human endemic areas, where this initiative has been implemented, through a computer image analysis system (CIAS) applied on the basis of standardized measurements. Georgian sota on viimeisin konflikti, joka tapahtui aivan Euroopan porteilla. Siihen liittyivät myös poikkeuksellisen voimakkaat viestintäpyrkimykset sodan osapuolien – Georgian ja Venäjän – taholta. Toimitukset ympäri Eurooppaa joutuivat tekemään vaikeita päätöksiä konfliktista kertoessaan, koska sotaraportointia vaikeuttivat viestintäpyrkimysten lisäksi käytännön vaikeudet kentällä. Tarkastelen tässä tutkimuksessa lähteiden käyttöä neljässä eurooppalaisessa laatulehdessä.
