In this paper, we propose a new Chaotic MultiAgent System (CMAS) for image segmentation. This CMAS is a distributed system composed of a set of segmentation agents connected to a coordinator agent. Each segmentation agent performs Iterated Conditional Modes (ICM) starting from its own initial image created initially from the observed one by using a chaotic mapping. However, the coordinator agent receives and diversifies these images using a crossover and a chaotic mutation. The depositing particles are represented by hard-core extended objects; they are not allowed to overlap. Numerical Monte Carlo studies and analytical considerations are reported for 1D and 2D models of multilayer adsorption processes. The charge transport properties of SCO [Fe(Htrz)2 (trz)](BF4 ) NPs covered with a silica shell placed in between single-layer graphene electrodes are reported. A reproducible thermal hysteresis loop in the conductance above room-temperature is evidenced. This bistability combined with the versatility of graphene represents a promising scenario for a variety of technological applications but also for future sophisticated fundamental studies.
Pulsed-laser switching in the bistability domain of a cooperative spin crossover compound: a critical study through calorimetry

The photoswitching from the low spin (LS) to high spin (HS) state and the reverse process in the bistability domain of spin crossover (SCO) compounds is a promising function to be used in molecular electronic devices, and evidenced mainly through spectroscopy. The phenomenon, and in particular its mechanism, is however still under debate since some controversial experimental results have been reported. Here we present a calorimetric experimental study of the photoswitching of the [Fe(pyrazine)Pt(CN)4] SCO material by a nanosecond-pulsed green laser.
