We predict the thermal counterpart of the anomalous Josephson effect in superconductor/ferromagnet/superconductor junctions with noncoplanar magnetic texture. The heat current through the junction is shown to have the phase-sensitive interference component proportional to cos(θ−θ0), where θ is the Josephson phase difference and θ0 is the texture-dependent phase shift. In the generic trilayer magnetic structure with the spin-filtering tunnel barrier θ0 is determined by the spin chirality of magnetic configuration and can be considered as the direct manifestation of the energy transport with participation of spin-triplet Cooper pairs. Reaction between 2-picolylamine (2-aminomethylpyridine) with 2-mesitylenesulfonyl and 4- tert -butylbenzene sulfonyl chlorides leads to the formation of 2,4,6-trimethyl- N -[pyridin-2-ilmethyl]benzenesulfonamide (Hpmesa) and 4-ter-butyl- N -[pyridin-2-ilmethyl]benzenesulfonamide (Hptbsa). These compounds react with Cu(II) salts to yield coordination compounds with CuL 2 stoichiometry. The immediate environment of the metal ion is a highly distorted tetrahedron, the sulfonamide ligands acting in a bidentate fashion. Haemoglobins and myoglobins constitute related protein families that function in oxygen transport and storage in humans and other vertebrates. Here we report the identification of a third globin type in man and mouse. This protein is predominantly expressed in the brain, and therefore we have called it neuroglobin. Mouse neuroglobin is a monomer with a high oxygen affinity (half saturation pressure, P50 approximately 2 torr). Biomaterial-based-scaffolds’ functions are to replace anatomical and functional features loss of an injured tissue. They can replace native tissue after their reabsorption. Material and methods. In our experimental procedures we utilized the PHEA-PLA+PCL scaffold in 2 female pigs to assess its resistance to bile and urine. Results. Both pigs survived to surgical procedures. After a month fibres appeared unchanged in term of form and dimension at electronic microscopy. Cells and ECM factors were founded inside the scaffold in a microscopical evaluation. Conclusion. Locomotor activity and antidepressant-like effect in the forced swim test (FST) of 5-HT(1A) agonist LY 228729 were investigated in adult rats prenatally exposed at doses of diazepam (DZ) and alprazolam (ALP) which induce persistent downregulation of GABA/ benzodiazepine (BZ) receptors. Prenatal exposure to ALP and DZ did not modify the efficacy of subchronic LY 228729 to decrease immobility time in the FST. Prenatal DZ and ALP potentiated the facilitatory effect of subchronic LY 228729 on locomotor activity; prenatal DZ was more effective than prenatal ALP. Four-jet final state production in e+e- collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 130 and 136 GeV

The four-jet final state is analyzed to search for hadronic decays of pair-produced heavy particles. The analysis uses the ALEPH data collected at LEP in November 1995 at centre-of-mass energies of 130 and 136 GeV, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 5.7 pb(-1). An excess of four-jet events is observed with respect to the standard model predictions. In addition, these events exhibit an enhancement in the sum of the two di-jet masses around 105 GeV/c(2). The properties of these events are studied and compared to the expectations from standard processes and to pair production hypotheses. Endovascular treatment of large and wide aortic neck: case report and literature review

Large (24–34 mm) and wide (≥35 mm) aortic necks are a contraindication to endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR). A 63-year-old man, unfit for conventional surgery, presented a 79 mm abdominal aortic aneurysm with 36.5 mm aortic neck and a 62 mm right common iliac artery aneurysm. He was treated endovascularly with standard commercially available stent-graft using the so-called ‘funnel technique’; by placing a thoracic stent-graft inside a bifurcated device to achieve proximal sealing. The completion angiography and the 6 months follow-up with computed tomography showed no stent-graft migration, limb occlusion or endoleak. On pair production of scalar top quarks in e+e- collisions at ILC and a possibility of their mass reconstruction

We study pair production of scalar top quarks in e+e- collisions with the subsequent decay of the top squarks into b-quarks and charginos. We simulate this process by using PYTHIA6.4 for the beam energy 2Ebeam = 350, 400, 500, 800, 1000 GeV. A set of criteria for physical variables is proposed, which provides good separation of stop signal events from top quark pair production being the main background. These criteria allow us to reconstruct the mass of the top squark with an integrared luminosity of 1000 1/fb provided that the neutralino mass is known.
