Występowanie Ricciocarpos natans (Marchantiophyta) na Śląsku

The occurrence of Ricciocarpos natans (L.) Corda in Silesia (SW Poland) is discussed in its geographical and phytosociological aspects. The paper lists localities of this species and indicates its occurrence in plant communities, with special attention to Ricciocarpetum natantis an association rare and threatened in Poland. Ricciocarpos natans is a fairly common species in Silesia, known from 70 stations. Patches of Ricciocarpetum natantis are documented from 11 localities.

The new "Vegetation map of Sicily (Italy)", recently published (Gianguzzi, Papini & Cusimano, 2015), shows also a synthetic overview of the distribution of European habitats in the territory; the study area has been extended to small islands circum-Sicilian (archipelago of the Aeolian; Aegadian, Pelagie Ustica and Pantelleria islands), for a total area of 25,703 km2. European Vegetation Archive: now EVA really starts!

European Vegetation Archive (EVA) was announced as a new initiative of the European Vegetation Survey at the EVS Meeting in Vienna in 2012. The aim of EVA is to create a centralized database of European vegetation plots by storing copies of national and regional databases on a single software platform using a unified taxonomic reference database. EVA does not affect the ongoing independent developments of source data bases and it guarantees that data property rights of the original contributors are re spected. Naturalne zbiorniki wodne są w Europie bardzo cennymi obszarami pod względem florystycznym. Wśród nich ważne dla zachowania różnorodności biologicznej flory w Polsce są źródła. Niniejsza praca przedstawia pierwsze w Polsce stanowisko Potametum pectinati Carstensen 1955 z klasy Potametea w limnokrenowym źródle krasowym. Dotychczas zespól ten nie był notowany w tego typu siedlisku w Europie. W artykule przedstawiono skład florystyczny i wymagania ekologiczne tego zespołu.
