Evidence-based programming language design : a philosophical and methodological exploration

Background: Programming language design is not usually informed by empirical studies. In other fields similar problems have inspired an evidence-based paradigm of practice. Artykuł ukazuje obraz Józefa Piłsudskiego w zadaniach z historii, które przygotowywane zostały na potrzeby ogólnopolskich egzaminów zewnętrznych przez Centralną Komisję Egzaminacyjną. Przeanalizowano zadania z arkuszy gimnazjalnych oraz maturalnych. Analiza wykazała satysfakcjonującą obecność Józefa Piłsudskiego w poleceniach odnoszących się do wydarzeń z I wojny światowej, gdy jego droga do wolnej Polski była już na ostatniej prostej.

Water level regulation related to hydroelectric power production and flood prevention is an important hydro-morphological pressure on many watercourses around the world. Fouling of fishing nets in autumn during the open water period and in winter under the ice is a common phenomenon in large Finnish lakes where the water level is regulated. This fouling of fishing nets can sometimes be so extensive that fishing has to be stopped. Tämä Pro Gradu-tutkielma on tehty yhteistyössä Tampereen yliopiston Biolääketieteel- lisen teknologian yksikön kanssa. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää perilipiinien vaikutusta seeprakalan fenotyyppiin käyttäen tutkimusmenetelminä geenien hiljentämistä ja mikroskopiaa. Geenit säätelevät proteiinien tuotantoa elimistössä. Jokaista proteiinia koodaa geeni, jonka toimintaan puuttumalla voidaan esimerkiksi estää kyseisen proteiinin muodos- tuminen. Morfoliinot ovat oligonukleotideja, joiden avulla voidaan tilapäisesti estää geenien toimintaa. Previous studies pointed out that dealing with difficult behaviour is perceived by teachers as a major challenge in inclusive settings. However, research on the students' perception of the classroom behavioural climate (CBC) is rare. Therefore, this study aims to examine students’ perceptions of CBC and to identify predictors of CBC as well as associated variables. Piirilääkärilaitoksen perustaminen oli eräs niistä Ruotsin valtakunnan valtiojohtoisista toimenpiteistä, joilla pyrittiin kohentamaan sotien ja kulkutautien seurauksena harventuneen väestön terveydentilaa. Sen myötä valtakuntaan asetettiin ensimmäiset yliopistokoulutetut alueelliset lääkärit. Piirilääkäreillä oli etuoikeus virkansa harjoittamiseen, ja he olivat velvollisia raportoimaan toiminnastaan lääkintäkollegio Collegium Medicumille. Tässä tutkimuksessa selvitetään piirilääkäreiden ammatillista toimenkuvaa ja heidän tapaansa käsittää sairaudet ja hoitaa niitä.
