Students with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) are a growing group served under special education services in many western societies. This article describes the history and current state of the services, as well as the assessment procedure. Our conclusion is that the status of students with ADHD in Finnish basic education (Grades 1 to 9) is still unclear. Based on the comparison of the prevalence and the population served in special education we can assume that this group is probably underserved in the Finnish school system. Fixed point results for α-implicit contractions with application to integral equations

Recently, Aydi et al. [On fixed point results for α-implicit contractions in quasi-metric spaces and consequences, Nonlinear Anal. Model. Control, 21(1):40–56, 2016] proved some fixed point results involving α-implicit contractive conditions in quasi-b-metric spaces. In this paper we extend and improve these results and derive some new fixed point theorems for implicit contractions in ordered quasi-b-metric spaces. Moreover, some examples and an application to integral equations are given here to illustrate the usability of the obtained results.

The analysis of the evolution of the settlement requires a lot of methodological questioning. Despite a frequent use of the spatial analysis methods, few works return to their methodological problems. This article proposes to make a comparison and a discussion around two exploratory statistical methods (the K function of Ripley and the Kernel Density Estimation). The Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) system was applied to sunflower oils used for frying in nineteen university restaurants. Guidelines for implementation that include training personnel, flow diagram, identifying hazards, controlling hazards at critical control points (CCP's), monitoring CCP's and measure of action for exceeding limit were developed. Abstract Background In Europe, increases in HCV infection have been observed over the last two decades in MSM, making them a key population for recently acquired HCV. Alternative combinations of direct-acting antiviral agents against early HCV infection need to be assessed. Expectations as Reference Points: Field Evidence from Professional Soccer

We show that professional soccer players and their coaches exhibit reference-dependent behavior during matches. Controlling for the state of the match and for unobserved heterogeneity, we show on a minute-by-minute basis that players breach the rules of the game, measured by the referee’s assignment of cards, significantly more often if their teams are behind the expected match outcome, measured by preplay betting odds of large professional bookmakers. We further show that coaches implement significantly more offensive substitutions if their teams are behind expectations.
