Analiza sytuacji finansowej Radia Opole (2010-2013)
2014
The basis activity of media, both public service and private is the realization of two functions: social mission and commercial. At this dualism, of which writes Robert Picard, is imposed in Poland organizational dualism associated with legal location of the public broadcaster. On the one hand, public media imposed is the realization of specific tasks, called the mission of public media, and other public media operate as commercial companies. The situation is further complicated by the method of funding public media, where the income from the license fee only partially sufficient to cover the roles that public media imposes Polish legislator. This article is an analysis of the financial sit…
Analysis methods of safe Coulomb-excitation experiments with radioactive ion beams using the gosia code
2016
With the recent advances in radioactive ion beam technology, Coulomb excitation at safe energies becomes an important experimental tool in nuclear-structure physics. The usefulness of the technique to extract key information on the electromagnetic properties of nuclei has been demonstrated since the 1960's with stable beam and target combinations. New challenges present themselves when studying exotic nuclei with this technique, including dealing with low statistics or number of data points, absolute and relative normalisation of the measured cross sections and a lack of complimentary experimental data, such as excited-state lifetimes and branching ratios. This paper addresses some of these…
Electronic coupling responsible for energy transfer in columnar liquid crystals
1999
Electronic coupling is the driving force for energy transfer in molecular materials and consists of several components. We determine the strength of dipolarrmultipolar coupling and coupling due to orbital overlap for excitation transport in triphenylene columnar liquid crystals. We use time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy and computer simulations. The fit of the experimental and simulated fluorescence decays reveals that the transfer process is dominated by short range interactions .multipolar and orbital overlap but the contribution of long range dipolar interactions cannot be neglected. q 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. Peak shape for a quadrupole mass spectrometer: comparison of computer simulation and experiment
2000
Abstract Computer simulations of ion trajectories have been used to evaluate the performance of a quadrupole mass spectrometer. Consideration has been given to realistic fields modeled on a commercial system as well as experimental distributions with respect to ion entry position, axial and radial velocity and relative phase of the quadrupole field. Determination of the mass filter acceptance-area as a function of the mass setting yields mass peak shapes with a dynamic range of more than seven orders of magnitude and thus provides estimates for abundance sensitivity. Results from these simulations are found to give excellent agreement with experimental measurements for different elements in…
External-ion accumulation in a Penning trap with quadrupole excitation assisted buffer gas cooling
1994
Abstract A pulsed ion beam from an external source is injected into a Penning trap and accumulated by repeatedly lowering during ion capture to prevent the ions already captured from escaping. For the same reason the newly captured ions have to be cooled, which achieved by buffer gas collisions. To prevent radial on loss, the ions are exposed to azimuthal quadrupole excitation. By choosing the appropriate frequency (range) this method (selective quadrupole excitation assisted capture and centering (SQUEACE) allows a mass selection during the capture process and leads to a centering of those ions in the Penning trap. The multiple ion bunch capture results in a significant improvement in sign…
Measurement of theE2/M1Ratio in theN→ΔTransition Using the Reactionp(γ→,p)π0[Phys. Rev. Lett. 78, 606 (1997)]
1997
The small electric quadrupole $E2$ amplitude of the predominantly magnetic dipole $M1$ $p\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\Delta}(1232)$ transition has been measured using 270 to 420 MeV tagged linearly polarized photons in the $p(\stackrel{\ensuremath{\rightarrow}}{\ensuremath{\gamma}},p){\ensuremath{\pi}}^{o}$ reaction at the Mainz Microtron MAMI. Differential cross sections and photon asymmetries were determined by measuring the recoil proton in the cylindrically symmetric $4\ensuremath{\pi}$ detector DAPHNE. From the proton angular distributions the ratio $E2/M1\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}=\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}\ensuremath{-}(2.5\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.2\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\…
Trzy obrazy z dziejów Opola i Śląska Opolskiego w XX wieku w ujęciu dydaktyczno-historycznym
2017
Opole celebrates its 800th anniversary of city rights in 2017. As a result, the article presents three thematic threads related to the latest history of Opole. In the first passage, an interesting project was discussed under the name “Almost few remember - memories of the inhabitants of Opole” realized in 2017 as part of the “Archive of Oral History”. In the second, the most extensive part, the stormy events in Opole Silesia have been described in the last messengers of the Second World War. The last part of the article was devoted to educational proposals, which can be used by history teachers in the course of the subject “History and society, the legacy of epochs”.
Dynamics of hyaluronan aqueous solutions as assessed by fast field cycling NMR relaxometry.
2010
Fast field cycling (FFC) NMR relaxometry has been used to study the conformational properties of aqueous solutions of hyaluronan (HYA) at three concentrations in the range 10 to 25 mg mL(-1). Results revealed that, irrespective of the solution concentration, three different hydration layers surround hyaluronan. The inner layer consists of water molecules strongly retained in the proximity of the HYA surface. Because of their strong interactions with HYA, water molecules in this inner hydration layer are subject to very slow dynamics and have the largest correlation times. The other two hydration layers are made of water molecules which are located progressively further from the HYA surface.…
¿Revuelta de Masaniello o revolución de Nápoles? Una reinterpretación
2020
Between 7 and 16 July 1647 a popular revolt, led by a young fishmonger, Masaniello, shook the city of Naples. The killing of Masaniello, however, did not lead to the end of the riots. On the contrary, the revolt involved the entire kingdom of Naples, radicalized in an anti-Spanish sense and resulted in the proclamation of the Republic and the call of a French prince, the Duke of Guisa. On these events, and especially on the fracture that permanently opposed people and nobles, historiography has long debated. It is possible, however, today, also on the basis of new archival documents, to propose a different interpretation of the events, which integrates the two moments and allows an updated …
«Io non accuso, non giudico; spiego»: Napoleone III negli scritti di Tommaseo
2021
The essay analyzes the political evaluation of Niccolò Tommaseo on the role played by Napoleon III in the path of Italian unification. In this sense, the issues concerning the relationship between the Church and the nascent Italian state are particularly interesting, especially as regards political theories and relations between European nations.
