Biskup Antoni Adamiuk we wspomnieniach sióstr szkolnych de Notre Dame

2017

Opolski biskup pomocniczy Antoni Adamiuk blisko współpracował z siostrami szkolnymi de Notre Dame, które przed 2000 r. pracowały w kurii diecezji opolskiej i Wydawnictwie św. Krzyża. W pamięci sióstr bp Adamiuk to wzorowy kapłan, znakomity katecheta i odważny kaznodzieja, dobry, skromny i prosty człowiek, strażnik pamięci polskich Kresów Wschodnich oraz obrońca prawdy i sprawiedliwości (związku zawodowego „Solidarność”). W ramach pomocy opozycji antykomunistycznej u boku biskupa działała s. Angela Orłowska SSND. Siostry mogły liczyć na pomoc biskupa w trudnych latach Polski komunistycznej. Organizował wtedy kursy katechetyczne, przygotowujące siostry szkolne do pracy z dziećmi i młodzieżą. …

Un approccio place-based per lo sviluppo di sistemi regionali di ricerca in Italia

2017

This work has three objectives. The first is the creation of an extensive mapping of technological districts, innovation poles, excellence research centres, laboratories and science parks in the Italian regions. The second is about monitoring, employing data from Open Cohesion, the state of the art of regional and national programs that aim at building local research networks and innovation networks. The third objective is to compare the sectoral priorities chosen by Regions according to their Smart Specialization Strategy (S3) with the existing sectors in their research networks. Finally, the study explores to what extent the presence of the industrial districts in the regions has facilita…

Intramolecular Dipole Reorientation of Amino Compounds and their Interaction with Solvent Molecules. I

1972

Abstract The dielectric absorption of dilute solutions of aniline, methyl substituted anilines, chlorine substituted anilines, N,N,N',N'-tetramethyl-p-phenylene diamine and 4-aminobiphenyl in various sol-vents has been measured between 0.3 and 135 GHz. The measurements have been carried out at 20 °C and for some mesitylene solutions also at -30 °C and 60 °C. The absorption curves have been resolved into multiple absorption regions. A far infrared (FIR) term had to be included in each analysis. Its contribution to the total dipole reorientation depends on the solvent and on the mobility of the substituted groups in the phenyl ring. The obtained group relaxation times are longer than those re…

Gas-phase detection of HSOD and empirical equilibrium structure of oxadisulfane

2006

We present the first gas phase spectra of singly deuterated oxadisulfane, HSOD, in its vibrational ground state. More than 100 transitions have been recorded with highest frequency accuracy using the Cologne Terahertz Spectrometer. The molecular parameters derived from a least squares fit analysis proof HSOD to be an almost accidental symmetric prolate top molecule with an asymmetry parameter kZK0.9985. Spectra of c-type and weaker b-type transitions have been recorded in the range from 716 to 772 GHz. The ratio of the dipole moments mc/mbZ2.4(3) has been derived from measured line intensities. The c-type transitions are split by the tunneling motion of a hindered internal rotation, whereas…

Routine application using single quadrupole liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry to pesticides analysis in citrus fruits.

2005

Abstract A rapid and sensitive liquid chromatography–electrospray ionization–mass spectrometry method has been developed for the routine analysis of buprofezin, bupirimate, hexaflumuron, tebufenpyrad, fluvalinate and pyriproxyfen in citrus fruits. Extracts were obtained by matrix solid-phase dispersion (MSPD) using C 18 as dispersant and dichloromethane-methanol (80:20, v/v) as eluent. Matrix effects were tested for all matrices by addition of standard to sample blank extracts (samples containing no detectable residues). Mean recoveries obtained at fortification levels between 0.01 and 5 mg kg −1 were 57–97% with relative standard deviations (RSDs) from 5 to 19%. The limits of quantificatio…

Comparison of four mass analyzers for determining carbosulfan and its metabolites in citrus by liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry

2006

Four liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS) systems, equipped with single quadrupole, triple quadrupole (QqQ), quadrupole ion trap (QIT) and quadrupole time-of-flight (QqTOF) mass analyzers, were evaluated for the analysis of carbosulfan and its main transformation products. The comparison of quantitative aspects (sensitivity, precision and accuracy) was emphasized. Results showed that the triple quadrupole instrument reaches at least 20-fold higher sensitivity (LOD from 0.04 to 0.4 microg kg(-1)) compared to the single quadrupole (4-70 microg kg(-1)), the QIT (4-25 microg kg(-1)) and the QqTOF (4-23 microg kg(-1)) instruments. Recoveries were over 70% for all the analytes, except …

The manifestation of dipoles clustering in paraelectric phase of disordered ferroelectrics

2001

Abstract We predict the existence of Griffiths phase in the dielectrics with concentrational crossover between dipole glass (electric analog of spin glass) and ferroelectricity. The peculiar representatives of above substances are KTaO3: Li, Nb, Na or relaxor ferroelectrics like Pb1−xLaxZr0.65Ti0.35O3. Since this phase exists above ferroelectric phase transition temperature (but below that temperature for ordered substance), we call it “para-glass phase”. We assert that the difference between paraelectric and para-glass phase of above substances is the existence of clusters (inherent to “ordinary” Griffiths phase in Ising magnets) of correlated dipoles. We show that randomness play a decisi…

Experimental Realization of a Dirac Monopole through the Decay of an Isolated Monopole

2017

We experimentally observe the decay dynamics of deterministically created isolated monopoles in spin-1 Bose-Einstein condensates. As the condensate undergoes a change between magnetic phases, the isolated monopole gradually evolves into a spin configuration hosting a Dirac monopole in its synthetic magnetic field. We characterize in detail the Dirac monopole by measuring the particle densities of the spin states projected along different quantization axes. Importantly, we observe the spontaneous emergence of nodal lines in the condensate density that accompany the Dirac monopole. We also demonstrate that the monopole decay accelerates in weaker magnetic field gradients.

Laser spectroscopy studies on nobelium

2017

Laser spectroscopy of the heaviest elements provides high-precision data on their atomic and nuclear properties. For example, atomic level energies and ionization potentials allow us to probe the influence of relativistic effects on their atomic structure and to benchmark state-of-the-art atomic structure calculations. In addition, it offers an alternative route to determine nuclear properties like spins, magnetic moments and quadrupole moments in a nuclear model-independent way. Recently, a sensitive method based on resonant laser ionization has been applied to nobelium isotopes around N = 152 at GSI Darmstadt. In pioneering experiments, several atomic states have been identified extending…

Electric field control of the spin state in mixed-valence magnetic molecules.

2012

Multiferroic molecules for spintronics: In a many-electron mixed-valence dimer with dominant double exchange, as compared with antiferromagnetic superexchange, the electric field is shown to induce a spin crossover from the ferromagnetic spin state to the antiferromagnetic one. This leads to a sharp decrease in the magnetic moment of the molecule and a simultaneous stepwise increase in the electric dipole (see figure).
