Tämä pro gradu -tutkielma tutkii vuoden 1976 poliisilakkoa. Miten ja miksi poliisit menivät lakkoon, mitä lakossa tapahtui ja mitä siitä seurasi? Olen käsitellyt lakkoa prosessina, joka muutti poliisien käsitystä omasta ammattikunnastaan. Tutkimuslähteinä ovat olleet jyväskyläläisten poliisien haastattelut, arkistolähteet sekä sanomalehdet, joita vertaamalla ja analysoimalla olen tehnyt tämän tutkimuksen. Suomen Poliisien Liittoon kuuluneet poliisit menivät lakkoon lähinnä palkka- ja sosiaaliseikkojen vuoksi. Lakon ulkopuolelle jäivät eri ammattiliitoissa olleet rikospoliisit sekä poliisin päällystö. Objective: Emergency service workers like police officers experience high levels of stress in the course of their regular duties. Holding particular stress mindsets may help to mitigate the deleterious effects of stress and promote wellbeing in workers experiencing regular stress. Tämän tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli jäsentää kokonaiskuvaa Suomen poliisin taktisesta neuvottelusta. Tavoitteena oli lisätä ja syventää ymmärrystä siitä, mitä taktinen neuvottelu on ja millaisia piirteitä siihen erityisenä neuvottelutilanteena liittyy. Aihetta haluttiin tutkia nimenomaan neuvottelukoulutuksen saaneiden poliisien käsityksiin ja kokemuksiin pohjautuvana. Tutkimus toteutettiin laadullisena tutkimuksena ja sen aineistonkeruumenetelmänä käytettiin teemahaastattelua. AbstractThe focus in this Finland-based study is on violence in close relationships—a term that partly overlaps with the more commonly used ‘domestic violence’, ‘family violence’ and ‘intimate partner violence’. We demonstrate how police officers’ conceptualisations of such violence differ from how it is defined in relevant legal documents. The data consists of the Government Bill and legal text on the subject issued as part of a legal reform enacted in 2010, and of a qualitative sample of freelist responses from 79 police officers. How guilt or innocence is constructed in Finnish suspects written police records
 The present study focuses on written police records in Finland. The aim is to investigate how guilt or innocence is constructed in written police records. The research data contains 168 copy of suspects police records from Helsinki, Tampere and Turku police departments. Police records are being analyzed by using the discursive and linguistic approach.
