The article, which refers to the research on the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth’s military history in the 18th century and the crisis of Old Polish war art, presents the genesis, course and effects of the battle of Kowalewo of 5 October 1716. Epistolographic material, press and chronicle accounts along with plans of two battles constitute the source base. These primary sources were given a critical analysis, the acquired information being collated and verified in order to obtain a reasonably precise picture of the causes, course and consequences of the battle. Wpłynęło to na zorganizowanie w dniach 27–29 czerwca 1931 r. w Wieluniu Kongresu Eucharystycznego, który był trzecim w kolejności w diecezji częstochowskiej. This study discusses the construction of a limited liability company (LLC) under Polish law. Due to the short length of the article and the large scale of the issue, this study is limited to the presentation of basic concepts. The construction of an LLC under Polish law is flexible and has been modernised, as a result of a number of amendments, including a fast registration path.

In 1960, Jerzy Giedroyc, editor-in-chief of “Culture”, turned to Anna Rudzińska asking for help in the translation of English-language books in exile sociologist Felix Gross. Rudzińska worked in the library of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Warsaw, at the same time was head of the office in the Polish Sociological Society. The summer of 1961 the prosecutor’s office opened an investigation into the translation, and SB founded bugged the apartment Rudzińska. During the revision of the officers they found the Gross’es book and a few pages of the translation, and Rudzińska was temporarily arrested. Patriotyzm jest fenomenem, który przeżywa w Polsce w ciągu kilku ostatnich lat swoisty renesans. Ten „znak czasów” został zauważony przez polskich biskupów katolickich, którzy w 2017 r. opublikowali dokument pt. Chrześcijański kształt patriotyzmu. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest zaprezentowanie najważniejszych myśli płynących z tego dokumentu, w którym podkreśla się przede wszystkim istotną różnicę pomiędzy godnym propagowania patriotyzmem a stanowiącym formę egoizmu nacjonalizmem. Wydaje się, iż te refleksje społeczne Konferencji Episkopatu Polski powinny dotrzeć do szerszego grona odbiorców (także niemieckojęzycznych), czemu ma służyć ten artykuł.

We intend to analyze a few constructions, in Sicilian (S) and in the variety of Italian spoken in Sicily (IS), involving the modals voliri (S)/volere (IS) “want” and aviri a (S)/dovere (IS) “have to”. They are used to express both modal values, along a deontic→epistemic continuum, and futurity (Sicilian, but not Italian, lacks a synthetic future). Modality has been traditionally defined as the linguistic manifestation of the speaker’s attitude towards his utterance. However, modality does not have an unambiguous treatment and there is no agreement on number and kind of semantic categories that can be completely defined as modals (cf. This work examines the monetary finds from the Acropolis of Gela during the excavations of 1952–1953, 1955 and 1961. It is possible to reconstruct the contexts of discovery for 106 specimens, which come from the main occupation phases of the site, between the fifth and third centuries BC. By reconstructing the contexts it was possible to establish the nature of the monetary finds (single finds or hoards) and the function of the coins within each context (accidental loss or deliberate deposition). W pierwszej części artykułu autorka zwraca uwagę na specyficzne cechy komunikacji na pograniczu i podkreśla, że mamy tu do czynienia z dwiema wspólnotami komunikacyjnymi, odmiennymi pod względem kulturowym, narodowym i społecznym, które dążą do uzyskania porozumienia w akcie komunikacji. W akcie komunikacji transgranicznej wyróżniamy dwie sytuacje komunikacyjne: a) nagłego reagowania i b) improwizację akcji nagłego reagowania w celach dydaktycznych, w których barierami komunikacyjnymi są m.in.: nieznajomość języka i przeszkody dźwiękowe (hałas, praca maszyn itp.).
