Il controllo della corrispondenza di detenuti a fini investigativi registra interpretazioni giurisprudenziali “ondivaghe”, tendenti a fare richiamo alla disciplina delle intercettazioni ovvero, a quella del sequestro. Sostanzialmente disatteso risulta l’art. 18 ter della legge di Ordinamento Penitenziario che detta prescrizioni sul controllo epistolare. In un sistema processuale che deve accordare prevalenza alle garanzie dell’individuo detenuto, la soluzione proposta mira a valorizzare il dato normativo esistente.

VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY OF THE FLOURISHING SCALE: LATVIAN VERSION

The objective of this study was to assess the psychometric properties of the Latvian version of the Flourishing Scale (FS), created by Diener et al. (2010). FS is a brief self-report measure of the respondent’s well-being and success in areas of relationships, self-esteem, purpose, and optimism. The scale provides a single score across 8 items. The original FS was translated to Latvian and then back to English. The Satisfaction with Life Scale and Meaning in Life Questionnaire was applied for testing the convergent validity of the FS. Summary The object of the current study was to determine the convergent and discriminant validity of agents' and targets' reports on intraorganizational influence attempts with a structural equation model using latent state-trait analyses. To explain agent-target convergence, we linked the theory of formal organizations to Correspondent Inference Theory. Managers (agents) were asked to describe how they try to influence their boss, a coworker, and a subordinate. These targets also described how the agent tries to influence them. In this paper, the estimation of covariance matrices based on multivariate sign and rank vectors is discussed. Equivariance and robustness properties of the sign and rank covariance matrices are described. We show their use for the principal components analysis (PCA) problem. Limiting efficiencies of the estimation procedures for PCA are compared.
