Ski jumping takeoff in a wind tunnel with skis.

The effect of skis on the force–time characteristics of the simulated ski jumping takeoff was examined in a wind tunnel. Takeoff forces were recorded with a force plate installed under the tunnel floor. Signals from the front and rear parts of the force plate were collected separately to examine the anteroposterior balance of the jumpers during the takeoff. Two ski jumpers performed simulated takeoffs, first without skis in nonwind conditions and in various wind conditions. Thereafter, the same experiments were repeated with skis. Sports-related pain and injury is directly linked to tissue inflammation, thus involving the autonomic nervous system (ANS). In the present experimental study, we disable the sympathetic part of the ANS by applying a stellate ganglion block (SGB) in an experimental model of delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) of the biceps muscle. The aim of this study was to describe the technical, tactical and spatial indicators related to goal scoring in elite European soccer, considering the type of defence and the positioning of the opponent. For the analysis, 8 tactical dimensions related to the final actions in 380 sequences that led to goal during the UEFA Champions League were evaluated by observational methodology. 75.9% of the goals were scored from open play and 24.1% were scored from set pieces. Collective actions produced 51.6% of the total goals while individual actions produced 10.5% of goals. En esta investigación, se evalúan la ansiedad competitiva, el bienestar psicológico y las estrategias de afrontamiento utilizadas en la competición por 213 deportistas, de cuatro deportes diferentes. Laitosteknisillä palveluilla tarkoitetaan kiinteistön ja allastekniikan ylläpitoon liittyvää toimintaa. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of rule changes on game-related statistics in men's water polo matches. A total of 856 men's matches played in all Olympic Games and World Championship since 1936 was analysed. The game-related statistics considered were: total goals, winners' goals, losers' goals, goals per minute, goals difference, relationship difference goals and total goals, and relationship difference goals and winners' goals. Reaktīvā un dinamiskā spēka indeksa novērtēšana palīdz izveidot jaunu vai uzlabot jau esošu treniņu plānu, balstoties uz sportista individuālajām spējām un rādītājiem, novērtēt pliometriskās spējas un uzraudzīt nogurumu, un var palīdzēt sasniegt labākus rezultātus, kā arī samazināt traumu risku. Pētījuma mērķis ir salīdzināt metodes reaktīvā un dinamiskā spēka indeksu iegūšanai un, balstoties uz iegūtajiem datiem, izpētīt šo indeksu pielietošanu treniņu procesos.
