The present paper aims to identify the causes of under-representation of women in E-sports. According to a genre perspective, interest in videogames at the amateur level is quite similar. However, in its professional level, female participation becomes very limited. In this paper, we explore women’s participation in esports and competitive gaming. We will analyze two different types of research material: online questionnaire responses by women explaining their reluctance to participate in esports, and online forum discussions regarding women’s participation in competitive Overwatch. We will examine the ways in which women’s participation – its conditions, limits and possibilities – are constructed in the discussions concerning women gamers, how women are negotiating their participation in their own words, and in what ways gender may affect these processes. Darba mērķis ir atrast efektīvu algoritmu automātiskai luksoforu pārslēgšanas ciklu pārvaldībai Rīgas krustojumos. Mērķa sasniegšanai izmanto reālu statistiku par transportlīdzekļu un gājēju skaitu konkrētos pilsētas krustojumos. Uz šīs statistikas pamata paredzēts veikt simulācijas, kuru rezultātā iespējama konkrētu risinājumu efektivitātes izvērtēšana. Risinājumu mērķis ir samazināt pārvietošanās aizturi visiem ceļu satiksmes dalībniekiem, priekšroku dodot gājējiem.

Active commuting to school among 36,781 Spanish children and adolescents: A temporal trend study.

This study examines trends in the rates of active commuting to school (ACS) in Spanish children (n = 18 343; 8.93 ± 1.68) and adolescents (n = 18 438; 14.11 ± 1.58) aged 6‐18 years from 2010 to 2017. Given the study period included the economic crisis in Spain (2008‐2013), the second aim of this study was to compare ACS rates during and after the economic crisis. Data were obtained from 28 studies conducted across Spain. The overall trends in ACS were evaluated using multilevel logistic regression analysis.
