This study evaluates the bone-healing patterns on the surface of titanium implants at the cortical and marrow compartments of bicortically-installed implants in the diaphysis and metaphysis of rabbit tibiae. In 27 New Zealand rabbits, two implants, one for each macro-design and with equal resorbable blasted media (RBM) implant surfaces, were randomly implanted in the diaphysis or metaphysis of each tibia. The flaps were sutured to allow submerged healing. The animals were sacrificed after two, four, or eight weeks, with nine weeks used for the period of healing. International audience; A new olivine-pigeonite ureilite containing abundant diamonds and graphite was found in the United Arab Emirates. This is the first report of a meteorite in this country. The sample is heavily altered, of medium shock level, and has a total weight of 155 g. Bulk rock, olivine (Fo79.8-81.8) and pyroxene (En73.9-75.2, Fs15.5-16.9, Wo8.8-9.5) compositions are typical of ureilites. Olivine rims are reduced with Fo increasing up to Fo96.1-96.8. The study subject are Polish translations of the French structure NP1 + voir + NP2 + infinitive; we reject cases where the NP1 is represented by the pronoun on, and concentrate on translations in which the infinitive is not rendered. The analysis is based on the corpus of texts embracing 58 pairs of examples, each of which contains a French sentence with the investigated construction and a Polish sentence with its equivalent. Our aim is to identify factors which make translators erase the French infinitive. The aim of this paper is to recover the role of the [± telic] inherent feature of PIE verbal roots, regardless of the many different meanings which derived verbs could take depending on their combination with arguments, adverbials, and so on. Semantic changes due to different contexts could have indeed obscured the relationship between the original lexical aspect of a verb and the structure of its morphological paradigm. Purpose: To determine body composition, energy availability, training load, and menstrual status in young elite endurance running athletes (ATH) over 1 year, and in a secondary analysis, to investigate how these factors differ between nonrunning controls (CON), and amenorrheic (AME) and eumenorrheic (EUM) ATH. Correlations to injury, illness, and performance were also examined. Methods: Altogether 13 ATH and 8 CON completed the Low Energy Availability in Females Questionnaire. Cathodoluminescence and photoluminescence study of trap centers in amorphous silicon oxynitride

Amorphous silicon oxynitride (a-SiO/sub x/N/sub y/) films with different compositions were prepared using low-pressure chemical vapor deposition (LPCVD) technique, The cathodoluminescence and photoluminescence of this samples were measured from the red band to the ultraviolet band to study the trap centers in silicon oxynitride. A 1.8-1.9 eV band was found and is attributed to the oxygen and nitrogen atoms with unpaired electrons whereas the 2.7 eV band is attributed to two-fold coordinated silicon atoms with two electrons. The 5.4 eV shoulder is due to the peroxy radicals and other ultraviolet bands are supposed to due due to the Si-Si bonds.
