Several studies have reported impairments in decoding emotional facial expressions in intimate partner violence (IPV) perpetrators. However, the mechanisms that underlie these impaired skills are not well known. Given this gap in the literature, we aimed to establish whether IPV perpetrators (n = 18) differ in their emotion decoding process, attentional skills, and testosterone (T), cortisol (C) levels and T/C ratio in comparison with controls (n = 20), and also to examine the moderating role of the group and hormonal parameters in the relationship between attention skills and the emotion decoding process. Lower ST-elevation myocardial infarction incidence during COVID-19 epidemic in Northern Europe

We compared the ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) incidence during COVID-19 pandemic (March 2020) to January-February 2020 and to same time period in earlier years 2017-2019 in five Nordic-Baltic tertiary centers. During 2017-2019, there were no marked differences in STEMI incidence between January, February and March. During 2020, there was an average drop of 32% in STEMI incidence in March. The isolation measures may decrease the risk for respiratory virus infection and contribute to the lower STEMI incidence and that we might benefit from firmer suggestions on hand hygiene and social distancing during flu season at least among high-risk individuals.

The rapid spread of COVID-19 has changed the global surgical care. Patients infected with COVID-19 may present without typical symptoms, and such asymptomatic patients may potentially trigger in-hospital outbreaks by transmitting the disease to health care providers and other hospitalized patients. [EN] Royal Decree 463/2020, of March 14, declared the state of alarm as a consequence of COVID-19. From this declaration, a series of royal decree-laws have followed one another that have introduced a series of changes in the financial system to adapt the tax obligations to the health crisis situation. In this sense, the deadlines for filing resource, the forms and deadlines for filing and paying declarations and self-settlement have been modified, as well as certain procedures and acts while this exceptional regime lasts. In this study we are going to analyze the adoption of these measures and their accommodation in Tax Law.
