Objective The objective of this study was to analyze our long-term results after open surgery for popliteal artery aneurysm. Methods Records of patients who received surgery between 1998 and 2010 were retrieved from a computerized database and analyzed retrospectively. End points of the study were perioperative mortality and morbidity and patency and limb salvage rate. Purpose: Urethroplasty with a buccal mucosal graft provides excellent clinical results but it may also cause oral complications in some cases. The mucosa covering the lateral and under surface of the tongue is identical in structure with that lining the rest of the oral cavity. Lingual mucosal graft urethroplasty for anterior urethral reconstruction.

Objective: Evaluate the use of lingual mucosal graft (LMG) in anterior urethral strictures.Methods: From January 2001 to December 2006, 29 men (mean age, 48.5 yr) with anterior urethral strictures underwent graft urethroplasty with LMG. The mean length of stricture was 3.6 cm. Patients with bulbar, penile, or bulbopenile strictures received one-stage dorsal free graft urethroplasties. In patients with failed hypospadias repair we performed a two-stage urethroplasty. Criteria for successful reconstruction were spontaneous voiding with no postvoid residual urine and no postoperative instrumentation of any kind. Although calcifications are commonly seen in intracranial meningiomas, gross calcifications are observed in only 1–5% of all spinal meningiomas. We report the clinical findings, surgical strategy and histological features of 9 patients with ossified spinal meningiomas (OSMs). Abstract Objectives To assess the therapeutic value of left renal vein transposition for treatment of the nutcracker phenomenon in long-term follow-up. Methods Eight patients (4 women and 4 men) between 23 and 58 years old (mean 39.1) underwent transposition of the left renal vein for treatment of the nutcracker phenomenon associated with recurrent gross hematuria and flank pain. The postoperative follow-up was 41 to 136 months (mean 66.4). Results No perioperative complications were encountered. <b><i>Introduction:</i></b> To evaluate incidence, symptoms and management of postoperative pancreatic fistula (POPF) after urologic surgery based on our experience. <b><i>Material and Methods:</i></b> Database was searched for clinically evident POPF after urologic surgery between 1998 and 2014. Fistulae were graded using the POPF classification. Abstract Objectives To report on our 2-year experience in teaching transurethral resection (TUR) of bladder tumors to five trainees. We analyzed their problems, as well as those of the teachers, and present our solutions. Methods Between April 2000 and March 2002, five residents and three members of the staff took part in a training program to teach TUR of the bladder. From a total of 692 patients with bladder tumors admitted for treatment to our department, 417 were selected for the study. These 417 had papillary tumors of small to medium size (maximum 25 mm in diameter). An unusual case of ureteral ectopia in the seminal vesicle: diagnosis and surgical management.

We report the case of a young man who presented with numerous episodes of ipsilateral epididymitis. Selected imaging studies with consideration of urogenital embryology lead to the rare diagnosis of a dysplastic kidney with ureteral ectopia in the seminal vesicle. After nephroureterectomy and vesiculectomy, convalescence was uneventful. No specific symptoms, equivocal diagnostic findings and the small number of patients limit the surgical experience in diseases of the seminal vesicle. Suprainguinal extravesical extirpation, however, appears to be an excellent operative approach in cases of unilateral seminal vesicle cysts.
Conservative surgery of renal cell tumors in 140 patients: 21 years of experience.

Operative method, course and complications were analyzed retrospectively in 140 patients who underwent a conservative operation for renal tumor between June 1969 and December 1990. In 53 patients (20 women and 33 men, mean age 61.2 years, range 38 to 77 years, with 49 renal cell carcinomas and 4 benign renal tumors) there was an imperative indication for an organ preserving operation because nephrectomy would have made dialysis obligatory. In 87 patients (29 women and 58 men, mean age 53.7 years, range 27 to 74 years, with 72 renal cell carcinomas and 15 benign renal tumors) the tumor was conservatively resected in the presence of a normal contralateral unit (elective indication) and 68 of …
