The aim of the article is to identify the degree of cohesion of goals and needs of functional areas development with targets defined in the development of communes and a region. The functional areas: urban and sub-regional of Opole Province make the case study here. The study was conducted on the basis of documents which deal with planning and programming of the development of regional, local, as well as functional areas. Darba autors strādā par automātiskas testēšanas komandas līderi uzņēmumā „Evolution Latvia”, kas no 2006. gada nodarbojas ar programmatūras izstrādi - tiešsaistes kazino spēlēm. Liels akcents uzņēmumā ir uz testu automatizāciju, lai samazinātu manuālo testēšanu. 2013. gadā firma sāka izstrādāt spēļu versijas arī mobilajām ierīcēm, līdz ar ko pieprasījums pēc automātiskās testēšanas palielinājās. Darbs ir veltīts stohastiskajai programmēšanai un tās lietojumiem projekta izpildes laika novērtēšanai pie nosacījuma, ka projekta darbu izpildes laiki ir gadījuma lielumi. Problēma ir apskatīta, lietojot stohastiskās programmēšanas un PERT metodes, kuras tiek salīdzinātas savā starpā. Metožu ilustrācijai tiek apskatīts projekta piemērs, kuram izpildes laiks tiek novērtēts, lietojot abas metodes.

Darbā tika apskatīts, kādas prakses tiek izmantotas, lai organizācijās ieviestu digitālās sadarbības sistēmas jeb sadarbības IS. Galvenais darba mērķis bija radīt pamatotu sadarbības IS ieviešanas un apgūšanas metodoloģiju, ko izmantot savā profesionālajā darbībā. Esošu pētījumu un autora empīriskās pieredzes sintēzes rezultātā mērķis tika sasniegts. Aptaujājot pārmaiņu vadītājus un ietekmētos darbiniekus organizācijās, kuras ir sadarbības IS ieviešanas procesā vai nesen to noslēgušas, bija plānots objektīvi testēt metodoloģijas pamatotību.
