Split-ticket voting in German Federal elections, 1953–90: an example of sophisticated balloting?

Abstract Though the German electoral system has provided the opportunity of split-ticket voting since 1953, until now there has only been mere speculation concerning the rationality of ticket-splitting. In this paper we examine the rationality thesis empirically, using data provided by the official representative electoral statistics of the Federal Republic. Modifying the Downsian notion of rational voting, rational ticket-splitting is defined in terms of coalition building and of voters' expectations of the electoral success of candidates and parties. The diffusion of electrically assisted bicycles gives rise to the need of the evaluation of the performance and efficiency of the electric drive that supply it. In this paper, is presented a test bench for the estimation of the electric drive output torque under several speed and load conditions. Moreover, the test bench detects the electrical and mechanical parameters that allow to evaluate the electrical drive efficiencies. A new and controversial scenario in the gathering of evidence at the European level: The proposal for a directive on the European investigation order

In April 2010 a group of EU Member States proposed a Directive on the European Investigation Order, an instrument which, if adopted, will significantly change the way in which evidence is gathered at the EU level. After the failure of the EEW, which focused on the exchange of evidence which had already been gathered, the objective of the new text is to create a single instrument for obtaining all kinds of evidence located in another Member State. The aim of this paper is to examine, within the current framework, the suitability of this new instrument, with particular reference to its impact on the rights of defendants.

A partire da una recente pronuncia della Suprema Corte, il presente contributo si propone di offrire alcune osservazioni sul tema della revocatoria delle rimesse su conto corrente bancario, con specifico riguardo alla ripartizione degli oneri probatori. Il tema è affrontato alla luce delle peculiarità delle rimesse come atti di“pagamento”e dello status di creditore qualificato della banca, al fine di comprendere su chi gravi l’onere di provare la natura della rimessa e se, per il fatto stesso che il soggetto convenuto in revocatoria è una banca, l’onere di allegazione gravante sulla curatela debba intendersi alleggerito.
