This paper traces developments in the Soviet Latvian literary scene between the late 1950s and early 1970s. The first part examines aspects of social organisation as demonstrated by the daily routines of so-called creative unions characteristic for the overall pattern of the way in which social mechanisms worked under Soviet rule, even if there were constant attempts to overcome the limits set to expression by the communist system. History repeating itself: Arnaud's case of pathological déjà vu.

International audience; We present a translation of Arnaud's (1896) case report of Patient Louis, a case he describes as having a pathological form of déjà vu. Louis has the delusional belief that the present moment is a repetition of an exact same previous event. Arnaud's paper is critical for two reasons. Firstly, it is amongst the first articles in the scientific literature to describe the déjà vu experience using the term 'déjà vu'. A number of philosophers and physicians living in ancient Greece thought that sport could harm both mind and body. Hippocrates, for example, acknowledged the health benefits of physical activity, but also believed that intense athletic competition had a harmful effect on the heart and other organs, and lowered resistance to disease. That athletes do not have a shorter life expectancy than the general population, however, was not appreciated until the 19th century. A new manifesto for child development research

AbstractThis book is an excellent manifesto for future work in child development. It presents a multidisciplinary approach that clearly demonstrates the value of integrating modeling, neuroscience, and behavior to explore the mechanisms underlying development and to show how internal context-dependent representations arise and are modified during development. Its only major flaw is to have given short shrift to the study of the role of genetics on development.

Abstract Kurt Lewin is acknowledged as the “father of social change theories” because his work has affected many models. Inspired by Lewin's massive contribution to science, this special issue of Journal of Business Research (JBR) collects papers regarding “Turning Kurt Lewin on his head: Nothing is so theoretical as a good practice.” These papers are presented in the 6th Conference of the Global Innovation and Knowledge Academy (GIKA 2016), in Valencia, Spain, from March 20 to March 23. After double blind reviews, only 75 papers are recommended to this special issue.

Despite offering multiple affordances, many O2O services have not diffused as anticipated, indicating the existence of consumer resistance towards them.
